the goal of completely maxing out your packs isnt to give you a better chance at rares, its so that the bronze stuff doesnt show up in your premium packs instead of good consumables
I picked this up off the steam sale to see if the MP was any good. 6 hours later, yes, it's very good. It feels to me like a Warframe without the bloat. And I'm baffled that it is essentially a Gacha game, published by EA, yet it has some of the most fair pack mechanics I've seen.
i dont think its a waste to buy cheapest until you max everything to 10 and work your way up each rank of crate until you max out those available items. i DIDNT do this on ME3 and i had nothing in comparison to what i already have in MEA! after not getting low tier items you DO get the better stiff faster plus i HATE getting commons and uncommons in a 100k pack! i would much rather get a free consumable with my guaranteed one 4star character then getting one 1star and 1 2star for 100k!...but thats my own little things lol its coop multiplayer so i hope we all have everything we need to kill it! GIVE US PLATINUM DIFFICULTY!
superbob24 EXACTLY! from unlocking all my commons to rank 10, i got the widow to rank 2. thats not to mention all the other uncommons i leveled up and now almost have rank 10
RNG gods were favorable in ME3 since I got Black Widow V then Black Widow X one pack after the other. After that, the Collector's Rifle was my secondary and I just waltz'd through everything. I'm probably going to start my packs out with a large purchase of premiums then see where I go from there (like the $100 worth).
If you start at the 100k packs and unlock all the rares, further packs still only have a small chance for ultra rares and the rest would be consumables. It doesn't start giving you 2 uncommons in place of the rares. Instead, you are basically buying 100k supply packs.
Wait. Wait. Wait. You can actually fire the guns? I thought they were just ornaments that you could attach melee optimisers to. Basic packs are also great for getting the Charger X. Its a truly brilliant little gun that really helps while you're chasing the shinier weapons.
Dont say to People they should start with Premium Packs thats silly, you will get mostly basic and advanced stuff from them. Theres nothing more to say about this cause thats how the Loottable works in Multiplayer, even more Premium are a waste. Expert Packs contain Premium Items with a really low chance but when you already have almost everything from Basic, Advanced and Expert then you mostly get Premium Items in Expert Packs aswell of course with a higher chance of Consumables.
I'd rather buy low tier boxes until I get everything maxed for that tier. Not only does this eliminate the possibility of getting those tiers from higher boxes but the lower boxes also have a chance of giving better tier items thus making it easier to go through the higher boxes. Once you get all commons and uncommons to 10 (IE, basic and advanced packs) skip directly to premium boxes. The cost to rares ratio is the same with a better chance at ultra rares.
Im getting basic packs until all my weapon mods are at X, which is annoying because it seems to prioritise weapons -> characters -> mods in that order.
You say to buy premium pack if I expect to play gold and platinum missions like I use to on the first few days I was and I got a few good things but way to many bad that would get on lower packs so I'm afraid I'm gonna stick to buying basic and advanced while I stock up on consumables and lower items while I level up characters and playing with my less experienced friends. nice video though
buying basic packs in the beginning to get a lot of consumables and weapon mods is a good idea, also get a lot of uncommon characters and basic characters leveled up. Plz skip advanced packs when you'e done with basics though. They are freaking useless and you're not gonna get more gold cards from the higher tier packs just because you maxed your uncommons.
I bought an advanced pack with credits on the multiplayer had a good gun be revealed went to check and it wasn't there am I not the level of that weapon yet maybe???
i myself i am gold player i went full on 5000 and 2000 packs to level up all mine chracter cards to level 10 and now i am only buying the most expensive ones vanguards are good and they dont need weapons on silver and bronze so max characters while plevelign vanguards to level 20 and then just use level 10 cards to farm gold packs
What class and weapons would you recommend early on to try and solo bronze? Sticking to common and uncommon cards if possible. Plus the enemy type and map? Awesome video again though, very helpful.
Kroguard is still super strong. Sadly, most of the engineer types are super squishy so a combat or biotic oriented class does much better. Unless you get like Sentinel to 10 but pure engineer is blegh. Infiltrator types are definitely OP this go around since they nerfed the shit out of tech stuff.
I want to spend $100 on Andromeda Currency. It is advised to spend it on Premium Packs. However, I will get 3 times less packs if I get Premium Packs VS Advanced Packs. In order to use character effectively, you need a level 10 character. If I max out Human Infiltrator vs Asari Adept (lets say I get her to level 5), I will still benefit from not buying Premium Packs. Are Rare and Ultra Rare characters vastly superior to Basic or Uncommon Characters? I won't spend more than $100 on the packs. What is the best bang for the buck? Thank you
Premium packs all the way, when paid. It's easy to farm basic and advanced packs, and as he said, a few good weapons means you can run non-melee builds and have great success at gold! ;) I'd say uncommon characters have some of the best, like the asari adept, and again, also very easy to farm - will not that all tiers have great and shitty classes.
For dummies Bronze/Silver = Basic Packs Silver/Entry Gold = Advanced Gold Master = Premium Only/Supplies when need if you run dry. This isn't about getting anything better. it's about preventing shit from appearing in costly packs. This video is really just semantics. 1) For dummies means RNG can't fuck you with low gear 2) Video Strat can give you good things faster BUT!!!!!!! MASSIVE WARNING is solely based at the hands of RNG. If you get some shity really heavy weapon that class can't use or rares/ur's that really don't help you that much (playstyle related). You wasted a massive amount of resources. TLDR: It's the slow and consistent vs the fast an risky.
To say it this way I do not feel this guide is really usefull in any way. There are 3 major things you should consider and that are: weapon preferences character and playstyle preferences consumeables and upgrades for the maximum number to carry If you do not want to play a soldier based class the weapon preferences are the least to worry about you will more likely wan't to play the expert, kinetic or asari expert class in the first way which are powerfull on theire own without the need of a strong weapon, for players who want to go melee any Krogan is the way to go but most of all Gladiator or Vanguard. This also means u will need at least a silver character. if you want to play soldier class however there will be also a major problem as the strongest ability is limited to Turians and those also need at least silver cards more problematic however is that most weapons on bronze rarity are not worth to obtain anyway so there is no sense in buying basic packs at all as youre damage comes mostly from weapons. The third way to play are tech characters which are seperated in infiltrator classes that are mostly sniper orientated and the tech explosiv ones. For them you will need both skillpoints and good weapons or you just suck on the battlefield. So while weapon and character preferences are based about the way you want to play consumables are based on the difficulty and class you choose. We have to differ between major consumeables which are cobra launcher, revive pack, first aid pack and thermosupports and minor ones which are all the other ones like fire and kryo ammo, higher weapon or skilldamage and so on. Major consumeables are not often needed in bronze difficulty, sometimes needed in silver difficulty and a must to have in gold difficulty and on most apex missions including bronze difficulty there for some mods! Minor ones differ from character and playstyle and difficulty. While you play bronze you will not have to use them but it can be fun to use some, silver needs them only to improve youre skills while gold will want you to use them. Soldier classes also will want to use different ammo to improve theire main source of damage and to be able to have some stuneffects against enemies, krogans best go with ammo, better shields and of course melee damage while skillbased classes need them to improve theire favourite source of skilldamage or to have another primer source or simply to weak enemys shields to easier get an effect on them. As consumeables can be obtained through any kind of pack but only mojor ones can be obtained guaranteed by buying the supply pack it is best to find the middle of having more possible weapons and chars or better consumeable chances. So a good player that first time plays will try to get silver rarity weapons and chars in the first place to obtain solid equip for gold (which can be played later on with level 1 chars but in first play mostly arround 10-15 considering if it is a weapon based or skill based class) later on the class he chooses will let him decide if he stays with expert or premiumpacks primary. to sum it up if you only go with premium packs u will have mostly only 1 or 2 major consumeables with a chance that one is also a max carry upgrade and also the possebility that you get 1-3 additional gearcards of lower rarity. expert cases have the chance of getting up to 4 consumables with a slightly lesser chance of obtaining a N7 rarity card but also with the additional chance to obtain additional gear cards of lower or same rarity. So the need to get enough consumeables of any kind is increased if you buy only premium packs and youre chance of getting additional gear is lower than when you buy expert cases instead. This leads to the problem of having to buy additional consumeables during supplypacks which will cost you 2K Credits each time and if you are using minor consumeables it will be even higher costs. So in total there is no best way to buy the cases at all. My advice therefore if you use a skillbased class it is easier to stick with premium packs and buy the missing consumeables with supply packs and if you are a weapon based class player stick with expert packs instead after you are able to comfortable play gold matches as the gold weapons will be strong enough while you have more chances to obtain weapon mods and needed consumeables without having to buy supply packs. Once gold is maxed out there is no question about which pack you should consider to buy anyway so in the end it is only the question how comfortable the way was until then.
something I also did is to have all bronze rarity cards by now so that i can have 2-3 minor consumeables each time i spend credits for a basic pack. That mostly allways guaranteed me a ammo consumeable which is absolutely the best to improve the effectivness of any soldier class.
so if i want to unlock all the ultra rare characters i should buy premium ? i already have a shit ton of good weapons i just need the characters. All i have been buying from the start is premium packs and still dont have all the ultra rare characters.
Jixaw15 human infiltrators are the best yes but krogan vanguard over human vanguard always and asari adept for the strongest character in terms of pure DPS
Very upset with this game for d myself stuck in-game early in-game due to wanting to snipe IE basically if u want to snipe from the start you can't because if you do then the game breaks try ur soon see what I mean PS great vid
Is there a glitch with the SR barrel mod and AR barrel mod? They're common unlocks and I've maxed out the basic packs since it gives me 5 supplies now and they're both at level I.
I'm really confused about people in the comments. I run gold pretty much 90% of the time. I use either the human soldier or the Krogan engineer. All using the charger x or raptor. You really don't need ultra rares to do gold unless your horrifically shit at the game.
does the equipment in the item store have a set number of uses? or are they permanently unlocked and available? can't seem to find an answer anywhere...
first PogChamp ??? give me that duelist!! also why premiums over experts ever? you get the same amount of rares, way more consumables, and even though the chance for an ultra rare is lower you still get to roll for ultra rares twice. i guess the real deal breaker between expert and premium is the exact ultra rare %. if a premium is 20% chance for ultra rare and expert is only 5% then premium is better. but if expert is 10 and premium is 20 then expert is a much better value. unless someone knows the exact percentages for the ultra rare drops in these packs it's hard to choose.
Actually no, you get 2 chances for URs in premiums, not one. Ive gotten a couple of packs already with 2 UR cards in them. Premiums have a higher chance per credit than experts do. As I outlined in the guide, the only reaon to buy experts is if you are running low on consumables
consumables have rarities and im pretty sure that supply backs don't give above common rarity consumables. definitely not above uncommon. so if you just want a ton of low quality boosts then yes buy supply packs. if you want the gold quality consumables i think you need to buy experts or above.
Consumables is split into 2 categories the supplies and the boosters. So yes, i you're low on consumables buy the supply pack. If you would have said booster specifically, that would be a different story.
Yeah it's 2 old video m8,even me with shit English I understand the meaning of what should you buy;)So let me ask you something.Wtf?Whit this new equipments for the character system?I unlock almost everything(All ultra/platinum campaign&more.Except(tech test using-up BRONZE nameplate)I don't care about it.But the character equipment named"Stronghold package"if you go at your collections & then equipment you'll see it's 32 equipments. Why we can't buy this one like all the others with funds?Do you know.Cuz with so many cronusmax/lag switch user's we start playing games like Andromeda(fairplay)pvp&let's hope for mass effect trilogy pvp also.
Do not buy any pack below an Advanced pack. Actually, I would argue not to buy anything lower than an Expert pack. The best guns are Rares or Ultra Rares. Leveling up your commons is a waste of time and credits because you'll hardly be using those weapons.
ehh to each there own im doing all the weapon challenges so having the lower ones ranked up makes this easier 140k points per weapons with rank 1 weapons would suck
Beanie Lol who needs weapons when you can have Asari adept and melee. You are basically invincible if you are a decent player. Easy gold with charger X.
TL:DR, and i assume nonsense. You want the packs that gives the biggest chance of ur, and as many rares as possible, the rest i ssecondary, -> Premium pack all the way.
All these packs aren't gonna matter if they do not sort out the balance in this game remnant and outlaw factions are easy even on gold and kett is just as hard on bloody silver. And then we have the weapons being terribly balanced by that I mean revenant aside most pistols are stronger and more viable than any of the assault rifles. Remnant weapons being among the worst struggling to kill even one bronze enemy before overheating except the equalizer being one of the strongest guns in the MP. Then we have the powers nearly all biotic ones don't stagger any enemies or do enough damage to be worth the cooldowns and finally we have the tech ones outplaying them in every way this game needs a lot of work before it dies and it's too late share this and let the devs know things need to happen and soon.
The smart way to buy pack is to start off with basic packs to max out your commons. After you've done that, go start buying advanced packs to max out your uncommons. Once you max out your commons and uncommons, go for expert packs and expert packs only. Since all your commons and uncommon are maxed out, all you will be getting are rare or better. Do not buy premium packs. They aren't worth it. You get more out of 2 expert packs than a single premium pack and they're half the value. BUt if you want to be stupid and buy it, go ahead.
But this method is based on the assumption that the drop table will drop a higher tier item if a lower tier item is already maxed out. In ME3 if you use this tactic all you will get is more consumables instead of higher tier items. MEA could be different from ME3 though. Nobody knows how the drop table works in MEA, but already so many different buying guides and each based on arbitrary assumptions that were never verified.
rushbcykablyat i covered this very topic in the video... you dont get higher drop rates for rares/ultra rares if you max everything else out, as you said, you get consumables instead.
Firstly, I mentioned nothing "getting a higher drop rate for rares/ult". Second, no it's not a bad way to spend credits at all. You get the bonus ability points for leveling up characters, bonuses on weapons, bonus on upgrades, and rare consumables(which aren't easy to get btw).
the goal of completely maxing out your packs isnt to give you a better chance at rares, its so that the bronze stuff doesnt show up in your premium packs instead of good consumables
this exactly because id rather have tier 3 or 4 consumables then bronze items
You guys remember the Cerberus Harrier from ME3 multiplayer? I want that shit back.
Harrier X with Soldier + good aim. Everyone's head melted, all armor/bosses melt in seconds.
Fucking n7 destroyer with devistatot mode. Throw some incindiary ammo on there and you are unstoppable
I totally forgot the destroyer existed! That dude was a beast

mass effect 3 had something different. like max out basic ones before premium packs.
Does penetration mod increase the damage vs armored mobs (yellow bar)?
wait wait wait wait -- the piercing / reciever mods increase damage to armor?
I thought they just let you shoot through terrain bits
It's funny people are still arguing about this when it was already figured out in ME3 years ago.

Justin J Nothing really. You get the same thing from an APEX mission as sending a strike team.
To say it this way I do not feel this guide is really usefull in any way.
There are 3 major things you should consider and that are:
weapon preferences
character and playstyle preferences
consumeables and upgrades for the maximum number to carry
If you do not want to play a soldier based class the weapon preferences are the least to worry about you will more likely wan't to play the expert, kinetic or asari expert class in the first way which are powerfull on theire own without the need of a strong weapon, for players who want to go melee any Krogan is the way to go but most of all Gladiator or Vanguard. to sum it up if you only go with premium packs u will have mostly only 1 or 2 major consumeables with a chance that one is also a max carry upgrade and also the possebility that you get 1-3 additional gearcards of lower rarity. expert cases have the chance of getting up to 4 consumables with a slightly lesser chance of obtaining a N7 rarity card but also with the additional chance to obtain additional gear cards of lower or same rarity.

consumables have rarities and im pretty sure that supply backs don't give above common rarity consumables. definitely not above uncommon. so if you just want a ton of low quality boosts then yes buy supply packs. if you want the gold quality consumables i think you need to buy experts or above.
Leveling up your commons is a waste of time and credits because you'll hardly be using those weapons.
totally agree man. start with premium packs and then go advanced for silver cards.
ehh to each there own im doing all the weapon challenges so having the lower ones ranked up makes this easier 140k points per weapons with rank 1 weapons would suck
cloudstrifeff7xx still sucks at level 10 ha
Beanie Lol who needs weapons when you can have Asari adept and melee. You are basically invincible if you are a decent player. Easy gold with charger X.
Scared KOL Asari adept is an uncommon drop.
*Gasp
MASS EFFECT 2 FOREVER
Lol, did you even watch the video?
Supr3m3 Mika Lmao you clearly did watch the video because i covered exactly why this is a bad way to spend your credits.
rushbcykablyat i covered this very topic in the video... you dont get higher drop rates for rares/ultra rares if you max everything else out, as you said, you get consumables instead.
