The process by which we are justified is the redemption that is in Christ Jesus as he stated. My faith has no part in the process of being justified. My faith is given to me to see what Christ has done for me.

When you've been a believer many years and you look back over your life and see how you have gradually changed, you know it's a process. We are still not completely sanctified. And if it were instant, there would be no need for this verse: 1 Thes. 5:23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Martin Valoz then why is judgement going to begin in the house of God?

@Martin Veloz Not debate but healthy discussion 😊 May I suggest that you are confusing sanctification with holiness. There are two types of holiness, consecration which is the act or declaration of setting something or someone apart for holy use in the kingdom and sanctification the process by which we are made morally holy. At the point of conversion we are consecrated, this is called justification when our debt to sin is removed, our debt to sin is death, so God removes death from us and gives us eternal life, this is His free gift to us. However, we are NOT yet morally holy and this is the sanctification process when we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us into the image of His son. To reject the work of the Holy Spirit working in our life to transform/sanctify/make us morally holy is to reject the Holy Spirit and this is the one unforgivable sin, and this is why God will judge His church first for rejecting the work of the Holy Spirit. 😊😊

    Justified by faith.
Faith is 'complete trust' and 'duty to fulfill that trust'.
Obey the commandments of Jesus, he is our judge as John 5:22.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made
unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, even your sanctification,
that ye should abstain from fornication:
1 Thessalonians 4:4 that every one of you should know how to possess his
    vessel in sanctification and honour;
2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you,
brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to
salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
1 Peter 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through
sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of
Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Sanctification means to set apart or make holy. Sanctification is NOT A PROCESS it is what happens when you are washed by the blood of the lamb. You are set apart and made holy through the blood of Jesus Christ. This is spiritual not fleshly.

Ultimate Sanctification is most definitely a process. Are you saying that you don't sin anymore?

    • @joemcgarvey7174
      @joemcgarvey7174 7 років тому +2

No, I am not saying that you don't transgress against God at times even on a daily basis we are weak in the flesh.
What are you referring to when you say ULTIMATE Sanctification? Define what you mean?
Christians are predestined to be redeemed as Jesus Christ was redeemed.
Redemption is guaranteed by the Holy Spirit that is within us.
What does it mean to you when we are told that we are not under law but under Grace????
The blood of Christ has washed us clean of all our sins even the ones we have not yet committed.
Christ died for the sins of the world so that all might be offered grace, that would include sins that were committed before He was crucified as well as those in the future.
Christ can not continue to die for you and shed his blood each time you transgress against God.
You need to come to terms with what Sanctification means. To sanctify means to set apart or make holy.
When you are "In Christ" what does that mean to you?
Are you set apart for always or do you fall out of grace and under law when you transgress and then you need to be washed by the blood of Christ again to be set apart again?
Building your relationship with Jesus Christ is continuous.
Like a marriage you continue to bond and trust and love.
If you are in Christ you are sanctified because Christ is holy.
It is through His blood because of His righteousness that we have life and will be redeemed.
Not because of what we have done, but because of what Jesus has done for us.
That is how i would understand what i have read in God's word.
If you can show me in God's word where It says that we are gradually made holy through a process or set apart through a process i would surely like to read it.
How much time does it take for God to sanctify someone?
      How does He do it?
How do we know it is being done?
What if you die before you become sanctified?

Joe Mcgarvey I totally agree. We have been sanctified, past tense, in Christ Jesus. We are in Christ and there is no sin in Christ, imputed righteousness. Carefully read Romans 7 starting at verse 14 through the rest of the chapter. Paul says the good that he wants to do he doesn't do and the evil he hates that he does. He goes on to say it is no longer he who does the evil but it is sin in the flesh. He is saying that it isn't him deep down in his heart, tje inner man. Personally I believe we are united to Christ in the inner man and the sins of the flesh are not counted against us as long as we are growing in Christ but Gods elect will always try to live as Christ teaches. It is all God's grace because He is the author and finisher of our faith. It is by grace we are saved, none of it is of ourselves. I never really made a choice it was God drawing me to Himself. He is the potter I am the clay. We can do nothing of ourselves for it is God that works within us.

      Sanctification is three points:
Past; point of justification. Rom 4. A legal term - with no implication of a relationship.
      Declared righteous.
Present; The renewing of the mind. Rom 8? Many present tense verbs confirms this continuing, conforming, renewing, being perfected....
This is the relational aspect (depart from me for I never knew you).
      Future = glorification- rejoicing.
The end result of the previous two.
The believers judgment (Behema seat) is for the 'good and BAD'.
All done through the Holy Spirit and we can do nothing of ourselves lest we may be able to boast.
To finish off this UA-cam doctrinal speech, yes you are Holy, perfect, or declared righteous but there is a biblical non-saving faith which is basically non-relational.
Adam loved Eve more than God and was not deceived 1 Tim 2:13
Saul /Paul loved the law which led to his question on the Damascus road, 'is that you Lord?'
The cross is a finished product, death and the law. (past)
Many times Paul teaches on the resurrection by itself without mentioning the death and burial . Why? That is our now(present tense). Christ is alive still working... as our advocate. Which is why we renew our mind. Calling him Lord, our imitation of him and relationship.
His promises (future) of the future.

To be washed in the blood of Jesus, you must Repent! That process applied, plus some other stuff (lol) will Sanctify yourself.

A very condescending preacher. I listened to his message though. It was painful though due to him CONSTANTLY putting down the people in the pew. I'll never listen to him again though.
