On the right at the end of the video (52:50) there used to be a station serving the old Fountainbleu Hotel. It was still operational in the early 1970s.
The long trestle over the north end of the Bonnet Carre spillway/southwest corner of Lake Pontchartrain has been replaced. It was damaged in 2011 by debris impact during an opening of the spillway. In 2016, there was a fire on the trestle over Lake Pontchartrain which destroyed about 800 feet of that old creosote timber bridge. A new timber bridge was installed and the line reopened a week later. I guess CN had enough of that old bridge, because in 2019 they began building a new concrete trestle alongside the existing bridge, on the north side between the existing bridge and I-10. Once the new span was opened, the creosote timber bridge was removed, including the plate girder spans and their concrete footings.

They have a great seafood restaurant called Middendorf's on the North side of the drawbridge in Ackers.
