Glad you liked it!!
I am not a black woman but i absolutely love watching this kind of videos including black queens! We all can have our aesthetics and enjoy of them and i am so happy to find this content!💜✨
Cottagecore is for everyone. Doesn’t matter gender, race, sexuality, or anything. It’s a place to escape your troubles. It’s beautiful. And it includes everyone. Even men can be in it! If they wish of course.
im a man and i love cottagecore lol, i dont mind wearing dresses or skirts and i find the aesthetic cute :' )
Woman moment
Can you do a princess aesthetic? I love soft looks that are also very classy but I barely see this look on black women. I love your videos so far! They're really needed!
That would be such a nice idea, I hope I can find examples!
If not I might have to do my own photoshoot 😂
Yes! Princess please!!!! That's my style! I want to see more black women in it!!!!

Hi, I love your videos and feel safer about my fashion choices as a black woman now that you are here to help. I have a short torso and have a problem dressing my body. Can you please do a video talking about dressing all 3 torsos. Thank you.
Sure! That;s a great idea:)
I'm so glad I found your channel I'm in love 💖💖💖
Can we get a video featuring the academias? I.e. dark, romantic, classic etc
Great suggestion!
I would love to see dark academia or royal core
We were made for cottage core I love it
You were made to pick cotton
Hi! I want to make a short animation of a black girl as the main character in my cottagecore animation. I wanted to ask how should I go about it since i’m white and i don’t want to do it wrong or be ignorant. There’s a lot of white girls in cottagecore and that’s why i want to feature a black girl instead. i would love if any black girl or guy is reading this and would put their input in all inputs are welcomed and appreciated ❤️❤️
Hi. Did you make the animation. Is there a link to see it?
Hi. I have some suggestions for your project and others like this one. (Part one)
- Collaborate with Black women creatives ( as well as with Black creatives as a whole if your project is going to include Black people as a whole), especially fellow Black women artists and animators. I also suggest consulting a Black creative/art/multimedia consultant as well as a sensitivity reader/story consultant for the storyline to make sure that it is free of any biases, inaccuracies etc that you may not be aware of. Also keep on doing what you are doing by consulting Black people or any target demographic for doing such representation correctly.
- Watch the videos and other content of the Black artists how to correctly draw a variety of Black women’s features or features that are specific to Black people in general while avoiding the historical and current racist tropes and caricatures of Black women ( and Black people as a whole). This is important when it comes to the hair types, the skin tones , facial features and the body types. You could also buy some of the brushes that they sell that can help you to do afro-textured hair as well as the hairstyles. This also includes looking at artwork of Black women and people done as well as any art that had Black people in it and use that as your reference without plagiarising them.
-
- Another idea would be to do look at the various African ethnic groups to study their varied features for you to accurately be it from African American, Afro-Europeans ,Black Africans, Black people from Latin America Melanesians and Pacific Islanders et.
Note: An important thing to remember here is that you look at those that are fully Black and that being biracial ( either half White and half Black or being half Black is a distinct hybrid identity in its own and should only be used to represent various Biracial identities as well as their own issues. The same for Mixed and multigenerational Mixed identities. And the reason I say this, is due to anti- Black racism and its related forms of oppression and discrimination, Blackness on its own is seen as lesser than, so anything closer to Whiteness or non-Blackness is seen as better in relation, hence the matter of being mixed or biracial being pedestalised and fetishised and the issue of the media casting Biracial and Mixed people for roles that are clearly meant for Black people
( Part two)
While Black people are one of most genetically diverse groups and have practically every feature imaginable, I would also like to suggest that you also include depictions of Black women and girls with the features that are unique to or exclusively associated with Black people, given that these are the features that are demeaned in Black people as a form of anti-Blackness, especially when it comes to Black women where they are mocked as a form of stripping femininity and womanhood from Black women ( and the equivalent for Black girls).
These features are rich brown and darker skin tones, afro-textured kinky curly hair ( type 4 but especially 4c hair and 4C hair if it is short) , big lips, “Bantu” ( Nguni) features those commonly associated with West African people as they say , curvier bodies etc . Essentially what you see in the average unambiguously Black woman or girl.
On another note it would also be a good idea to feature Black women and girls with other-underrepresented features such as Black women with natural blonde hair ( like the Melanesian populations and certain ethnic groups from Namibia) ,Black women that aren’t curvy , Black women with various hair styles and textures, and conditions and disabilities such as vitiligo, albinism and various visible disabilities.
-
- Read a variety of fiction and non-fiction books written by Black women and people as well as watching the movies or any other content that are created by them so that you can get an insight into how to portray Black women and people as multifaceted human beings like anybody else but also understanding the nuances and difference as well. It would also give you an insight into the types of societal issues that Be careful though, because some movies and books can also be Anti-Black and misogynistic, so it is always good to ask like what you are doing.
- Lastly, once you are done with your project, please do share it with us or tell us where to buy it so that we can support this and perhaps it can become a part of mainstream media.
For all the styles you mentioned, can you also do a winter essentials with all the different styles please. Would actually be great 👌🏾
Great idea!!

Hi!! I love your videos so much! Theyve been so helpful its really hard to find inspo to adapt styles to work for us. Can you make a video about kawaii and regency/coquette fashion for us one day? Im sure many of us would love that! For coquette and kawaii, I barely find any inspo at all. 😭😭
I love this video, keep up the good work sis!
Thank you so much!!
Very informative video and very well done. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
My pleasure!

Love love love your content. Could you do a video on how to slay vacation outfits (modestly) for apple shapes? I'm not sure if my request is all over the place but anything you could suggest would be appreciated. Peace.
I think it's a good idea!
@@cocoastyling I look forward to it.
These videos are amazing! Tysm for making videos I can actually use! Do you have suggestions for modest clothes? My skin is VERY sensitive to the sun and I have gotten rashes just from leaning against some surfaces when I’m out. I want to dress nicely, but it’s hard to be fashionable (I’m a Kibbe soft dramatic) AND covered up. Please help!
Thanks for the idea! I can make a video about how to adapt modest outfits into different styles and aesthetics.
@@cocoastyling
That would be amazing!
❤❤❤
Thanks for your video! Could you do a video about each of the Kibbe types? I'm a theatrical romantic. A lot of the blogs don't show modern pieces.
I remember her doing some Kibbe vids. Check in her older vids you might find what you are looking for.
I have a Kibbe and body geometry playlist! But I will start a blog soon with more tips and making more in depth videos about each type:)
@@cocoastyling perfect thanks! I had already watched your playlist so I'm excited for your blog. 😃
I really like alternative fashion (mostly pastel goth) but sometimes I think it would be cool to combine an alternative aesthetic with a cottagecore aesthetic. What do you think?
It can be done! There is a store that is basically that, it's listed on my blog. Its called Voriagh
Your voice 😍
Thanks:)
Hello!! What is your intro music? Like do you have a link?
