Hollywood writes action films for a global audience of males from 9-24 . Simple dialogue easily translated, basic themes that are relatable and plausible, fire, guns,hot chick and youre done. Easy peasy

Been there, done that.
I guess the 3rd movie in this tech trilogy will be where All the earth androids all have AI in them and we just let them do whatever it is they "feel" like doing. I know, that's also part of the plot of I, Robot, but I'd set #3 in about 2030. And then make it a mashup of RoboCop and Terminator.
Because honestly that's the most likely outcome if we try that..."stuff"...
