Hi Doss Family! With Christmas only a couple days away it’s a bit hectic as I’m sure you all know. Grandma and I thought it would be a great time time for a Q&A on our Monday video. We have a special treat! Matt will be joining us. Please ask us any questions you want. We will try to answer as many as possible. No doubt there will be some good laughs. Thank you all. God bless!
Matt I turned my head head for a second and turned back in time to see you feeding spinach to a chicken from your hand!!!! You have become full fledged farm hand animal guardian!! Who knew?? I’m proud of you.
Kudo's to Mr. G for observing the pigs out of their Pen and baby sitting until Ralph aka Grandpa got home!! What a great neighbor! Always good to see you and Matt working together!!
Dear Ralph: I would love to say thank you for taking me along with caring for the animals. I have been suffering from C.O.P.D. Forced to change my life style. Watching your videos is the highlight of my day. I'm amazed the relationship you have with your sons. I wish my were the same way. Think of me in your prayers
It is never too late to make some memories with your kids. I am PRAYING 🙏 FOR YOU! As long as you can talk, you can tell them stories and life of some great grandparents.
Thank you to your neighbors daughter for alerting you the piggies got out and he stayed with them til you got home …Another good video.. Matt is doing great and becoming more and more comfortable around the animals.. Thank you all for sharing your farm life with all of us ! Everyone have a most Blessed Christmas 🙏
I'm so happy that you've taken the measures so quickly to keep the pigs safe. It would be devastating if something had happened to any of them. Ugh, I cringe to even think about it. 😟
So good to see the animals doing well. Glad your neighbor was so conscientious about watching over the piggies until you got home Matt is so much more comfortable around all the animals, great job Matt
Thank you Mr G for piggy sitting for Ralph and LeaAnn. A consequence of the pigs’ diet regime is that they are far more mobile now, exploring and looking for treats food themselves. In the same way Fred got out just mooching along following his taste buds the girls did the same thing seeking roughage rather than snoozing with carb overload. And in the words of the great Chad “Grain train them!”. What a shame there wasn’t a camera there watching the event unfold.
Thanks to Mr. G, and his daughter for spotting the girls, and keeping them safe until Ralph got home. I guess one of them decided to channel Batman, and test the security of their fence line. Glad everyone is safely inclosed. Blessings to all of the Doss family.
I like how Matt hides behind ya to do the wormy dance, So Cute!! Now Matt's learning how to fix fencing..GO Matt!!! Love ya'll...God Bless The Doss Family
It looks cold there. Matt is such a great help with the critters. So glad the pigs are okay. They went on a nature hike to see what was on the other side of a fence. Never a dull moment, but I know you enjoy the critters and chickens 🐔 nice of your neighbor to help and alert you.😊. That's what you call good people. 👏 👏
Kind regards to Mr G on keeping the piggies safe. What a good neighbour to have. Happy Christmas to everyone involved in Doss Farms. You are a great family.🙋🎄🏡🐖🐷👍🥳♥️xx🎅🎉
The whole Doss family has become part of my daily routine. All of you have enough differences that it I look forward to seeing each of you. Thank you for sharing with us.. Merry Christmas and thank you for sharing your love of our Heavenly Father.
Hello everyone. What a fab fun video. I don’t know any cats that don’t like those treats. There must be secret recipe. Ms Lola sleeping in her bowl. All the pigs have done so well with their weight loss and that’s credit to you all sticking to what is right for them. Slow and steady. The pups are still as adorable as ever. Thanks for sharing with us all. Have a great day take care and God bless 💕🙏
You’re doing an awesome job farming. It would be great if the people giving advise would tell us viewers what experience they have raising animals. My Dad is 92 and a farmer all his life & he says you’re doing great. Much Love to all. ❤
Thank your Dad from both of us @reclusivelovey. That means the world to us coming from someone experienced like your Dad who knows farming and could definitely teach us a thing or two. Love and appreciate you both. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. ❤️ Grandma Doss
When Matt asked if the goats ever got out, I couldn't help it, my mind went immediately to the antics of Batman and the fence. He would find any weak spot to get wherever he wanted to go. I'm sure that all of the other old subscribers thought of him as well. Oh the stories we could tell about that silly goat. Now we know that Matt wasn't watching the older videos. Tell him to do a marathon of Adler Farms archives. I'm sure he'll get a kick out of them. Sending love and best wishes to you, LeaAnn, and Matt. ❤❤🐐🐐❤❤
Putting the hay in the shed was a real hoot. I am sure that Ralph can do anything he puts his mind to do. Another very entertaining video with two Doss men. Love you guys. God bless❤🙏🌹
I was reading about ways to keeps hens from sleeping in or on nesting boxes. One suggestion was adding curtains and also gives them a more secure environment to lay. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I simply lean a pre-cut piece of plywood and close off the nest boxes each evening. Easy peasy! Then they go their 4x6 roosts. After a bit, the board is not really necessary.
Hi Ralph, a couple of channels I watch feed their pigs green hay or alfalfa as we call it and they love it! All the farm and sanctuary videos I watch feed their pigs hay of some sort in winter because there isn’t much nutrition in winter grass, it’s more like a filler. So they switch to hays and different grains to fulfil the animals needs. They need roughage. I enjoy your videos. I retired from farming many years ago, we had a large Holstein farm, 125 milkers and with heifers and calves had close to 200 head. Also had pigs, horses, chickens, turkeys and a few goats. It was a lot of work and no such thing as holidays! But I miss it a lot of times and when I do I go to one of my daughters and enjoy their animals! Your doing great, I enjoy you and Matt’s banter! Have a great Christmas!🙏🏼🎄🎅🏻🍗🇨🇦💕
Can you get a dog or horse brush to get Lola's hay out of her hair? All the pigs are looking great by the way. All of your animals are adorable!!! Please don't take my comment in a bad way. Chad keeps wanting to get the burrs off of Lilly. You guys are a hoot! 😂
I’ve tried Judi. It’s not hay as much as it’s another layer of hair with some hay in it. It really pulls and Lola doesn’t stand for it. It doesn’t want to come off so I’m leaving it. It’s just not worth it putting her through it.
Hello Ralph, LeaAnn, and Matt. Watching you move the hay by yourself made my back hurt ….lol. Matt you really do have a way with animals. The cats, pigs, goats and dogs are looking good. Merry Christmas to all the Doss Family. Have a good week and May GOD Bless You and Your Family.
Howdy Ralph and Matt!! My cat LOVES those! He isn’t wild about the beef ones, but loves all the others. He gets his Skin and Coat in the morning and a regular one when I go to bed! Organic labels don’t necessarily mean no chemicals unfortunately. I read a report where they tested “organic” and quite a bit had chemicals on it. In my experience the gilts and sows are much more vocal than the barrows. Lord please bless Ralph, Leann, Matt, their families and friends with an abundance of all they need, keep them healthy and safe, bless their homes, land, businesses and animals, in your heavenly name Jesus I pray Amen 🙏.
I actually laughed out loud as I watched you putting the hay up. 😂😂😂🤣😆 Are you old enough to remember a TV show called "Life of Riley?" He'd get himself in similar situations every week and he'd always say "What a revolting predicament this is!" Anyway, thanks for the chuckle today. God bless you and yours as always.😆🤣☺️❤️🙏
You two take such good care of all the animals, and the animals are all so incredibly intelligent. You have a happy farm because they all love you. Oh yeah, I heard that chickens slow down their egg laying during the colder months when the days are shorter. They need a certain number of daylight hours to lay eggs at a higher productivity. God made them that way to give them a break, I guess. I hope this helps. 😊😊😊
Thankyou for this last year of videos. The laughs and smiles brought by you has brightened many a day when we have needed it. Merry Christmas to you and Leeann and🥂 to a another New Year full of your wonderful videos. May God keep you healthy and strong in the new year. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you Rita for being with us this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Can’t wait to see what adventures another year brings all of our Doss Farms Family. ❤️
A great time had by us all. I cried tears of laughter at the start with Ralph trying to get the gorilla cart back with his foot. Good stuff. Much love Carol
Have a great day now that piggies are closed in again. The doggies seem to be doing well and the goats. Love that the kitties follow you. Great job Grandpa and Matt.
I enjoyed watching your videos and your family ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ love seeing all the animals ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Merry Christmas 🎄 everyone ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ralph, I was laughing at you with the hay because it's something I would do. Being alone, sometimes I have to do crazy things, but the older I get, the more difficult it becomes. OMG! Matt hand feeding Sis! But I see he has on gloves so that's probably ok. Revel & Riley are so beautiful! Wow, I'm surprised the piggies got out! Thanks Mr G for pigsitting. I hope you have fixed the fence so the piggies can'r get out!
“Everybody on 3!”🤣🤣🤣reminded me of putting logs on the log splitter and splitting them when I was 7 months pregnant with my son!🤣🤣🤣Man I love that hay shed!💜💜💜
Looks like Baby was mouse hunting!😎👏👍✅ Yes, Ralph, 41 with a ripping wind will cut right through you! We had that exact condition 3 days ago, here in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire! Love the Hay shed!
Grandpa, you can put a tarp over the broken storage top. Then put the heavy piece of wood on top of the tarp. That way the rain won’t get inside and ruin the contents of the container. You can even put some log 🪵 around the bottom on top of the edges of the tarp to keep the wind from blowing the tarp up. I hope this helps. 😊
Its cool that the neighbors stayed with the piggies after they got out! Its good that Matt helped you reenforce the fence to keep them from getting out again! 🐷🐖🔨
Hello, and again so good to see you both again and .so happy that the pigs are ok and you got it fixed up .Thanks for sharing and take care till next time. Mary Christmas 🎄 To all of you ! ❤️
Ralph, I was running to grab that gorilla cart for you. 😂 Sorry, hurt my back on moving the 2nd bail of hay. Maybe Baby and Miss Kitty can help? Oh Ralph and Matt, one of you need a Rooster named Popeye! I vote Matt gets the new Rooster. He will need a new chicken coop. Magneto and BS won't go for another Rooster in their pen I bet. And Matt needs some of his own farm animals anyways. 😉
Ralph, such a neat storer of food. You are like an electrical engineer…everything perfect. Matt, you provide entertainment. Need to get you some props when feeding chickens. NJ had heavy flooding. We are safe…side of mountain gets water run through. Everyone is lovely. Need to have you do a video review.very odd places on strange typography. Your commentary. Would be great, In Hawaii…no cages..no barns..they run the neighborhood. We all share eggs, fruit, herbs..a fun way to farm. Come on out in June.
Sorry part 2 Chad Kyle and Matt are really wonderfull and funny.. Seeing Grandma Doss Farms helping is a blessing to you. Please jeep me smiling and giggling. Love you all. God Bless ❤😊
Nice neighbors to watch over the piggies. Glad Matt could help repair the fence. ❤loved your video Ralph! God bless you and keep you safe. Have a wonderful Christmas Day!❤
Awesome neighbors watching over the girls grandpa, your one day closer Matt to getting own pets amazing video and God bless everyone in the family 🙏 ✝️ 💜
Hi Grandpa & Matt, Thankyou Mr, G for looking after the 3 girl escape artists🐽🐽🐽, so appreciated. The chickens really enjoyed that spinach Matt, taking it right out of your hand, that's great. Well, you managed to get all that hay in your storage locker Grandpa, persistence pays off. Revel just loves his bellyrubs, adorable. Thanks Grandma for your editing, great job. ❤&🙏
Missouri mule is what came to mind watching you tackle that hay. LOL!!! I knows one when i see them cause i am one too. Needed that chuckle thank you. Have a good one and may your days be blessed Doss Family. Merry Christmas
When I open a bale of hay i stand it on end the way you just did, cut the twine on the top take what I need. I don't remove the twine because of I have to move it I can tie it back together. If it's not long enough to tie back I just add twine from the last bale.
So glad the piggies were caught in the act and babysat til you could get to them. That spinach is so good for the chickens. Matt is getting to be a good farmer. Merry Christmas. 🎄 💞🎄⛄🎄🎁🎄
HaaaHaaaaaa 🤣🤣... I got the biggest kick out of you doing the "leg stretch, foot hook and pull" of the wagon. I would have bet a $1000 you would NOT be able to pull that wagon and bale to you. It was just plain too heavy. I know the muscles that are used to do that and it's quite the strain and painful (ask me how I know). I was just floored when it actually started moving. Wow ... superman, that's what you are. Merry Christmas to you all and God bless.
Ralph! You had me laughing so hard I was almost crying! But also, as someone with bulging and herniated discs, I was freaking out about your back. Hopefully you didn’t hurt it. By the way, I always love when you sing songs from our generation. But Matt not knowing where it came from makes me feel old! lol! 😂 - Sue in AZ
Jeez Grandpa, lay the bales down. Stack them and maybe have room for one standing up on the side of them? Work smarter, not harder. Merry Christmas to you and yours! Much love to your whole family! 🎄☃🐓🐖🦮🐐
Ralph: It is very natural for chickens to slowdown on laying this time of year. First they go through the molting phase and slowdown on laying. It’s their body resting after producing new feathers and getting used to the colder weather. After about a month, they start laying again. That’s why some egg farms will keep the lights on longer and put heaters inside the buildings. They may be cage free but they are packed in like sardines.
😊Grandpa, there is less light in the winter, and it's cold. Chickens normally slow down egg production drastically in the winter. It's natural. Buy a big jar of cayenne pepper and put it in their food. It helps a lot I've had chickens since I was young. My grandma had a big family to feed, so she needed eggs all year. They also slow down when they molt.
When did bales start being wrapped with string instead of baling wire? I didn't know that had changed. We used the left over wire from the bales to fix just about everything that broke on the farm.
Glad Mr G's daughter saw the piggies and let you know they were out. It's good Matt was able to stay with them till you got home. 👍 job Matt on feeding the animals. Y'all make a good team. GOD bless Y'all. MERRY CHRISTMAS
Glad all the animals are safe and doing great. Neat seeing chicken eating the spinach. Stay warm there. We are having too much rain and overcast days, such a depressing time. Love and prayers 😇💜

Merry Christmas Sarah Jane.
Merry Christmas LeaAnn, Ralph, and Matt!!! Blessings as we celebrate Jesus' Birth. ❤❤❤
Merry Christmas Joann. Happy Birthday Jesus. ❤️ LeaAnn
I don't know if we will have another video before Christmas, So I wanted to Wish You All A Very Merry Christmas! God Bless you all!
Thank you! You too!
Merry Christmas to all the Doss family! Grandpa, I hope you didn’t strain every muscle in your leg trying to pull that loaded wagon back to you.
Have a Merry Christmas ❤
Thank you God bless be safe
When I open a bale of hay i stand it on end the way you just did, cut the twine on the top take what I need. I don't remove the twine because of I have to move it I can tie it back together. If it's not long enough to tie back I just add twine from the last bale.
So glad the piggies were caught in the act and babysat til you could get to them. That spinach is so good for the chickens. Matt is getting to be a good farmer. Merry Christmas. 🎄 💞🎄⛄🎄🎁🎄
Hello Beautiful Family. Fantastic video. Always with Love 🩷
Hi Matt 😂❤ur Dad did the heavy hay by himself !!😮❤
That’s because he’s not patient enough to wait on Matt. 😉 Grandma.
Howdy howdy Grandpa and Grandma and Matt
Howdy Lora.
Hi 👋 Matt & Ralph! I really enjoy you both together! Fun times💛💛 we love the piggy wiggy’s☺️
I LOVE it! My name sake Sis was in her spot just waiting for the food to be brought to her, she's is the QUEEN 👑🏰
God Bless all the Doss family!

It helps a lot
I've had chickens since I was young. My grandma had a big family to feed, so she needed eggs all year. They also slow down when they molt.
Yes that is what it means !!😊❤❤😊

Hello.. JBS
(Just being Silly)
Matt are you becoming a chicken Whisperer??
When did bales start being wrapped with string instead of baling wire? I didn't know that had changed. We used the left over wire from the bales to fix just about everything that broke on the farm.
Glad Mr G's daughter saw the piggies and let you know they were out. It's good Matt was able to stay with them till you got home. 👍 job Matt on feeding the animals. Y'all make a good team. GOD bless Y'all.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Merry Christmas.
Glad all the animals are safe and doing great. Neat seeing chicken eating the spinach. Stay warm there. We are having too much rain and overcast days, such a depressing time. Love and prayers 😇💜
Christ✨mas Blessings LeeAnn, Ralph and Matt.
Lola fell asleep dreaming of more food.
lol probably so.
