    Looks like some really easy use stuff with no streaking. Great review.

    I have solution finish to test out, would it make more sense to put this on instead? Or let solution finish cure, then coat over that to make it pop the most
    This obviously being for faded plastics not new ones to keep protected m

      Solution Finish is great! I sometimes will use that first if the trim is really faded. Make sure you wipe it all off and use a panel prep or IPA solution as well before going to C4. That's a great combo though!

      Thanks for the response, how long do you let it cure usually? I have heard 4-6 hours before applying coating but before I find out myself it would help lol

    Does it dry so there is no tachiness left pretty quick (a few hours)?, im in a very dusty environment (especially in winter) and most products i have used for the plastic on my vehicles attracts dust and dirt like fly paper.

    • @high-defdetailing1485

      100%. It's super dry to the touch and not greasy or tacky at all. This would be a great option for you it sounds like!

    Can you use this on interior plastics?

    • @high-defdetailing1485
      @high-defdetailing1485  6 місяців тому

      You probably could, but I wouldn't recommend it. It performs best on exterior textured plastics.

    Hey, I'm getting a new Toyota Yaris Cross with a lot of plastic trim too. I currently have an Aygo X and if their plastics are anything to go by, I want want to protect the Yaris Cross' plastics immediately. Would you recommend this for putting on a brand new car to maybe get some protective layer of sorts? I find that the plastics on their own can easily get scratches from bushes or similar and Ive even got some weird grease or whatever on it that I havnt managed to clean out.
    Also, since you probably know about waxing too as a detailer, I suppose it's a good idea to also have it hard waxed (by someone more pro than me) just about straight away?

    • @high-defdetailing1485
      @high-defdetailing1485  Рік тому +2

      I use this coating on new vehicle plastics all the time and it works great! It'll help them stay black longer and protect against fading. It will not protect against scratches though, and unfortunately there's not much you can do to prevent scratches on plastic trim.

    Great video mic sounded a little hollow when you were talking in the garage, but other then that all good. How often should you reapply? If so, would you use the same prep to remove the coating and then reapply? Thanks.

    • @high-defdetailing1485

      Thanks for watching! I 100% agree and have not done much to improve the audio on these videos. As a musician it bugs me as well, but I'm just trying to get some quality information and important content out ASAP!
      I haven't had to reapply on any vehicles yet. This stuff holds the dark look really strong on new trim! If it was used to restore faded trim you'll probably want to reapply every year or so. And yes, same prep.

    Hey man, what preps would you recommend before apply the CSL on my headlights? May have some light scratches. I bought the car brand new 3 weeks ago, did about 100Ks on it. What kind of polish do I need? Thanks

    What happens if it sits too long or is not buffed off

    • @high-defdetailing1485
      @high-defdetailing1485  4 місяці тому

      You can actually let it sit for a while before buffing it off with zero issues. If you didn't buff it off at all though it would cure very unevenly and not look good!

    • @high-defdetailing1485

    • @high-defdetailing1485

      Hit or miss on window trim as that material can vary. C4 is a winner when it comes to black, textured plastics!
