Thank you for being in our little country. I think you'll understand, that any attention we get, we are so happy 😊. I'll miss my fellow Paddy Glen, and his cheeky wiitty frau Mado 😊. Thank you for spending time here, I've enjoyed following your journey xx 💛💛
Sending Aroha from LDN! So happy that you have made it to the Taitokerau. The two gentlemen on the side of the road were throwing Mana Waves. It's a popular practice. There is also a Hundertvasser in Kawa Kawa. May the ancestors and Atua keep you safe and joyful on your hikoi. Mauri Ora whānau ❤️🤍🖤
Guys thank you for putting out positive vibes at each place you visit. We as Kiwis often need reminding that we are blessed to live in such a beautiful country despite its social issues like all countries NZ is unique. I don't normally watch UA-cam but do enjoy your videos 😊
Many years ago an aunt owned a very smart ladieswear corner shop called Salon Sandra in Warkworth and they lived up on the hill in a street called Hill Street!😊
So pleased you did make it to Northland, my office is just across the road from the Town Basin, and the Hundertwasser wish I'd known you were here. Our roads were hammered in the cyclones. Yes, Northland is a world of its own. So much to see, 4 days not long but at least you made it. Thanks
Some pretty amazing places up there. I really admire Hundertwasser -he is a so creative. Hope you get to see the public toilets in Kawakawa. Thanks G & M
Whangarei, my home town. I spent a few months there last year. You seem to have covered all the places I hung out. Lots of freedom camping in the city when you know where to go.
@@anneleahy9010 my little grandchildren were moved from there by their parents, for safety reasons and I have been there often enough and stayed long enough, to know that their decision was the correct one.
The beach site 15 mins around the Whangarei coast where you freedom camped, I have stayed in my van. On my own. Got food poisoning that night and was sick for a couple of days. Memories!🤢😉😊
Warkworth, my hometown! Never expected you guys to stop there. I worked at the butchery you visited to get me through high school and uni. Hope the meat was tasty.
Hello Glenn and Mado!!! Me and husband Dante (American & Filipino) are trying to migrate to New Zealand to be near Dante's 3 adult children who are in Wellington & Auckland. We've visited twice now. Dante's oldest son filed an E.O.I. for us, which apparently is good for 2 years, and you wait for name to be drawn from pool of names. If your name is drawn, then you get an Invitation To Apply, which apparently takes 2 years to go through. Did you have to do an E.O.I.? How long did you wait? Do you have any tips for us? I'm 59, Dante is 62. His kids will sponsor us since we're close to retirement age. However, we feel like we're waiting a long time to get our name drawn. We submitted in December 2023. Now, it's already June 2024. We appreciate any advice! We adore New Zealand, and very much enjoy watching your videos! Thank You! Sheri Sempio
Willing to charge 25 dollars for Glen & Mado to check out the incredible Hundertwasser building ? You guys should've been given a free pass & red carpet ! 😁

Lol first you do Christchurch , where I've lived most of my life, then you do my hometown, whangarei where I grew up.😂 Yes. The crime and the massive unemployment that followed after the Marsden point and freezing works layoffs in the eighties is why I left.
Wait until you get to the far north..Low population fantastic scenery and the best beaches in the country. Shame you are not visiting during our summer . you would have the chorus of thousands of cicadas and much warmer weather.

What did you think of it? We briefly checked it out but at least we still seen it 🙂
Cricket ground carpark and the bridge toilet carpark, two freedom camp sites
@GlenAndMado you saw very little of Whangarei, I wouldn't judge it from a couple of days stop over.
@@anneleahy9010 my little grandchildren were moved from there by their parents, for safety reasons and I have been there often enough and stayed long enough, to know that their decision was the correct one.
Oh wow, I live here and have never heard of the mana wave.

If you ever come back make sure to learn how to pronounce our language properly
How's your Irish and German pronunciation? It must be perfect, judging by the expectation expressed in your comment!
@Masque54 shut your mouth boy
That’s rather rude isn’t it
They speak the same language we do😂😂😂 Just with a different accent, they have trouble prounouncing the cities with Indigenous names.
