Mr David Curtis! You spoke about substitution in reference to the Passover Lamb. You gave the correct meaning of the words but you contradicted yourself.
When there is a substitution it means that it is accepted as the true and the problems are solved.
I refuse to accept the use of the word substitution in God’s salvation and redemptive process.
The holy scriptures are the authority over all doctrines and beliefs.
The Hebrews Writer state that God was not pleased with the animal sacrifices, though he commanded them to be done, because they could not take away sins.
So why did God ordered that they should be offered? Because they were A TYPE of the True OFFERING/SACRIFICE.
Let me stress again that they(the animal sacrifices/offerings) were NOT a substitution because they did NOT solved the problem.
The substitution doctrine sounds right but it is WRONG! It is a big mistake!
Since God was NOT pleased with animal sacrifice then it is NOT a substitute.
Also, Christ was NOT a substitute. He was God’s offering/sacrifice for the sin problem!
In asking who was worthy to take the Book and open its seals none was found in heaven and on earth……the Lamb/Christ was found worthy “because you were slain and has redeemed us to God by your blood”………
Redemption, salvation and the forgiveness of sins are NOT through substitution. It is through God’s righteousness and Grace.
