I have a little sister with down syndrome and when she was in high school she always wanted to be a cheerleader. She would watch them practice all the time. She never was a cheerleader but when she graduated the cheerleading squad gifted her with her own cheerleader jacket with her name on it during the graduation ceremony! She thought she was so cool when her school peers would walk up and give her high fives ❤️

This video helped me a lot going through 6th grade people would make fun of me for liking to play with toys I was only 11 when people would look at me weirdly I would sometimes cry cuz kids would make fun of me for bringing toys to school now that I am 13 I do not play with toys anymore but I would still put toys in my backpack to school it helps me feel safe when I am down❤😊

I've got your back May and I'm glad that you have some good friends by your side. I know what it's like to be judged for liking things made for children. Some people have judged me for watching Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder but I persisted with watching those shows and still watch them to this day and the best part is my friends are on my side for that meaning they value my passions. There are people who told me that "Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder are for babies" but I still watch those shows to this day and will likely be into them forever. Those mean people just need to shut up and back off. Same. There used to be this program at my school for helping kids with disabilities and I always took part in it, it made me happy to see them having fun with me and a couple of my classmates. When I saw these girls at the beginning being so rude I started crying it hurts to know how much these kids take it to heart. I am very glad to see people creating awareness for these problems.
