They genuinely are the best band of ALL time. Outside now! To whoever disagrees.
"why does my mind blow to bits every time they play that song?"
god I love this song in a way I can't describe. I'm from London. I know that middle America is a hard knock life but when I listen to this song I see it in all its transcendent beauty.
The drummer is on fire!! 🔥
I love the way David Letterman says My Morning Jacket :)
This band fucking rocks live.....best live band IRL.
the saving grace of modern day music!!!!!!!!
the best rock band, ever :)
They get it
So good! Terminal 5 was amazing as well!!!
First time I've heard and seen this band...WOW!
I'm hooked...awesome voice.
one of their amazing classics. this bad is awesome and makes me happy
I hope this train never stops!!!
Great band. I saw this on the Lettermen Show and was extremely impressed. 5/5.
so. amazing.
I'm in love with his soul . . . :D
This is incredible stuff.
Sweet!
The Jacket!!!
@wavecrusher007 youre in for a treat as you go thru their discography then..Get It Still Moves, then go for At Dawn (this song is on there) or Z next
Their first three albums were INCREDIBLE...then with Z the quality starting going downhill. Jim James seemed to buy his own hype and became a pretentious “artiste” writing more experimental and electronic music. Wish he stuck to what he was great at instead of trying to impress critics. Reminds of when Burger King tried selling pizza and wings. Just make great burgers, not mediocre-to-lousy things you aren’t as skilled at doing
@@pts5217 i think Z was an incredible album, better than Tennessee Fire imo, although some of those songs more fleshed out are great...Jim is a bit of a wildcard & idk what the future holds but i thought The Waterfall was really good & best album since Z
interesting they decided to do an older song- nice :)
i love the studio vocals, and the live versions are always missing the backing vocal part
My MORNING Jacket
It’s just the way that he sings Not the words that he says, or the band
What do you think Paul?
3:58
EXACTLY!
Plus When Dave Grohl says your good you pretty much are one of the best ever, I mean look at the Foo Fighters
Why is ironic that this song's vocal is only ever amazing live? The studio version is a completely different song
They were a different band back when they made At Dawn, they rock harder now
more hair, please! I prefer when you guys are rockin the Muppets look.
@maiconfire Drum Solo!!!
Saw them live with Band of Horses and let's say the only 3 bands who have more/ had energy on that stage are/were 1.) KISS(band itself sucks but man a lot of energy at their shows) 2.) The Ramones 3.) AC/DC (youtube them, they have lots of energy)!!!!!!
Saw that show at Stage AE in Pittsburgh. What a show. Outside
@maiconfire Its the way he sings!
This is a little too soft for my taste, but really like that bassline, plus the bassist looks like a BAMF (reminiscent of Robert DeLeo). Also, really strong singer. props to MMJ
@mike30566, only one of the 12 bands that you listed (Queen) is a true rock'n roll band. green day? aerosmith? when you listen to the radio for your rock music, then you yourself arent a true fan of rock!
Need to check out some BLACK HAPPY vids. Talk about energy and a really great band.
Nirvana, thats one cool band there...maybe old Areosmith and Appetite era Guns as well@mike30566
@mike30566 Basically MMJ takes dumps on all the bands you mentioned. HUGE dumps.
The biggest crime since the Israeli-Palestine War is that this video has 71K views pssshhhh
I don’t get it..... Bonnaroo 2003 I came upon their tent not knowing who they were and left the tent saying “this is gonna be my fave band for the next 20 years....”
I wish I could too, and I'm a straight dude.
🗿🙏🌎
@mike30566 [sarcasm ]Yeah, Green Day and Linkin Park aren't trendy in the same way that Hannah Montana and Owl City are [/sarcasm] ugh.
They should have played One Big Holiday.
@mike30566 you say blabla i yawn
@herbiedhancock what about KFC????
One of my all time favorite songs. MMJ was incredible up until 2005/2006. Jim started getting too self indulgent for my taste around the time of Z, writing songs that were silly/abstract/experimental and singing with a weird affectation instead of his beautiful natural voice.
Really?! you listen to Nirvana/Green Day/ Linkin Park/ Aerosmith/Guns and Roses?! All those bands suck, with the exception of Queen.
/sigh
