I avoided using the Gallup tech due to IM being the main band that used it. I could gallup pic the day I picked up the guitar in 1982 as it was a major tech from bands in that era. Its also helps that my name is EDDIE.

Unfortunately I don't know Steve's precise finger measurements (not sure if he does either), but I do know that Steve often mentions the fact that he doesn't have large hands. And just like any guitar player, Steve's playing style comes from the hands and finger he has... and to repeat, I don't know the specific measurements, but I know Steve doesn't have big hands. :-) And I don't know what you're having trouble with specifically, but keep this in mind: the more you play, the more you'll develop flexibility and strength in your hands. Which means, with practice and playing experience, you will reach notes you can't reach right now. Ive seen guitar player with long lanky fingers and players with fat corndog fingers shredding the guitar to oblivion! It RARELY has anything to do with this. So dont worry about that. I avoided using the Gallup tech due to IM being the main band that used it. I could gallup pic the day I picked up the guitar in 1982 as it was a major tech from bands in that era. Its also helps that my name is EDDIE.

Thanks for watching, Josh! Unfortunately I don't know Steve's precise finger measurements (not sure if he does either), but I do know that Steve often mentions the fact that he doesn't have large hands.
And just like any guitar player, Steve's playing style comes from the hands and finger he has... and to repeat, I don't know the specific measurements, but I know Steve doesn't have big hands. :-)
And I don't know what you're having trouble with specifically, but keep this in mind: the more you play, the more you'll develop flexibility and strength in your hands. Which means, with practice and playing experience, you will reach notes you can't reach right now.

Ive seen guitar player with long lanky fingers and players with fat corndog fingers shredding the guitar to oblivion! It RARELY has anything to do with this. So dont worry about that. Infact ive seen several 10 year olds on youtube mastering the guitar like steve vai himself without trouble.
So dont worry about hand size!
