ahh for Yuri on Ice I meant the shows been on hiatus for 7 years :C I only stared the show a couple weeks back #underworldoffice #animation #yurionice #vtsom
Only thing worse than joining a dead fandom is falling in love with something and realizing there IS no fandom for it (I still love u, Sinking City 😔💔)
Felt... a practically nonexistent fandom I wish would come to life is for a book series called The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda. Basically about humans hiding in a world populated by vampires, and the slightest mistake could get them eaten alive since the vampires go feral whenever they smell a human
I think you got lucky to be honest. Fandom's have an annoying and horrific tendency to be extremely toxic so unless you're sad because it means little to no fanart then you don't have to worry about horrible fans ruining your enjoyment of the material.
Yeah, I agree In my experience smaller fandoms tend to have much better people in them, I think the only time I've seen a small fandom be bad was in the very early days of the Underworld Office, cuz back when it first came out all I could find was people shiping Eugene (a teenager) with Boss (a dead guy who canonically died in his late 20s and has been dead for a VERY long time)
it makes me SO DEPRESSED TOO GOD- so sadly if there ain't content for my favorite fandoms i just get straight into work and post about them so they can be found by other ppl like 2-3 years later :,) you're already doing god's work making fun uwo animatics! (fluff non-nsfw BLs are also dead as hell waaaa)
Bro, I remember when I first finished Underworld Office and the only content I could find about was Eugene x Boss videos, and not even adult Eugene, it was always 15 year old Eugene x Boss😭
I'm apart of those fandoms as well as some other dead and non-existenting ones some of the dead/non/micro fandoms I'm in are :Dinosaur King, Poppy The performer, B-Daman, Metabots, Survivors, ect: it's really upseting that you love somthing so much but you can't find anyone who enjoys it please I'm calling to ya fans of these fandoms rise and reavel yourself pls ✨🫠✨🦂✨
This is how I feel whenever I begin a series that was finished several years ago, like, you can still see the comments, art and discussion threads from people from the time but nobody is really there anymore to discuss with. I guess only people either exactly like you (who are new) or sages on a nostalgia trip would still be making stuff or having discussions. There's so much old art and theorising that it feels weird depending on what lens you're viewing it through. There's definitely a difference between experiencing something as it happens and experiencing it afterwards. Like, I enjoyed reading Solo levelling, So I'm A Spider, and JoJo's (etc) partially because of the community discussions about what the next issues could be about, so I don't think I would have had the same experience in those fandoms if I was out of the loop. It's sort of an immersion thing that makes you feel like you're contributing to something lol. It feels kind of sad enjoying something a lot but not being a part of it, but I guess it's also a good thing to not have something you're a part of eventually drift apart so there's a few sides. You could argue neither way of consuming content is better than another, since no matter when you consume it the thing that formed these connections in the first place is still the same as it's always been. As a new member you would less be writing building the fandom organically and more "seeing" how it grew while it was alive and adding to it. Sort of like the difference between a tree and a tree house if you get what I mean. From my experience, once a series ends and the fandom dissipates it's more bitter sweet than anything, like you're glad you were a part of it but you're also sad it's over? but then you're also satisfied how things in the series resolved (in some cases the fandom spirals though, I still don't know why UNDERTALE was so toxic lol). That's why I'm glad I got to grow up with some Fandoms like Steven Universe or Adventure Time where experiencing things as they happen is a large part of what makes it special. You can reflect on both your memories / everyone else's experience of a show compared to how you can view it today with hindsight. Discussing things as they happen with someone you're watching a show with is really fun even if the show is completed and most of your questions will be answered. My favourite thing to do with a new fandom is discuss something, then search it up after ensuring zero spoilers and being able to look at what the community was saying at the time and be like "see! I knew people thought the same thing!" or "woah, I never even noticed that, that's cool".
basically the six impala fanbase, haha (I wish it had more creative people in it. Don't get me wrong, I love the casual fans referencing and discovering them, but the inactivity is not on, especially when the band is on hiatus.)
i was in the yuri on ice fandom back on its prime where episodes were coming out and i have to say, youre not missing out on much. a lot of fetishization of queer men and sexualization of minors plus the jokes and memes werent really all that great. also dead plate is a great game
Watching 86 ( an anime named " 86 ") One of the actually brilliant built up story about the real world, sci-fic that actually discusses REAL problems in our world such racism based on ethnicity and color, and dehumanization of other races, thinking you have found a Jewel mine.......... Only to end up with a de@d fandom💀 like THAT MASTERPEICE NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT MORE Esp when sth similar is going on in the real world with the dehumanization of palestinians who are getting genocided!!! Free palestine!!!
Bro i keep watching stuff JUST as the show stops airing episodes so now i have to wait for the manga to poop out new chapters only for it to be on break 🙁
I LOVE YURI ON ICE SO MUCH BUT THERE LITERALLY ZERO CHANCE OF GETTING THE MOVIE AT THIS POINT JSBSUAKSBSJLAKANAJSHSJLS
