Had exactly the same trouble with the large seal on a UNI housing, not impossible but very tight. Little tip for anyone doing this job without any of the drift tools to hand, a used engine mount is the perfect size to tap down both the bearing and the large seal
Thanks for this. I've just had a similar experience fitting the seal to a brand new Uni housing too. Apart from that they're great value for money and I'd definitely buy another one.
Hi Rob - As I am a total novice on Lambretta rebuilds it may be helpful if when you fit the Mag seals (or any seals) to show the correct wat to fit them . ie. using spring side and flat side, facing yiou facing away or a good pic. Great vids.

Spring always towards pressure. First thing you need to do is buy Stickies manual.
So both mag seals have springs facing the crank then?
Cheers
Yes!
Rob that mag housing looks really good, I’m just rebuilding a 66 SX 150 would you recommend it or stick to sil?
It's really nice. If you have a sil then use it but if you need a new one, buy a uni, would be my advice.
Rob, which way does the oil seal holder (ring) go? flat side facing down or up, cheers
Flat side down mate.
Hi again, I’m just curious how does this bearing get lubricated?
Only by the grease you pack it with. That's why it's important to use high temperature grease.
@@kickbackgarage Thanks for getting back, what grease do you recommend? Thanks.
I use putoline high temp. Works well.
@@kickbackgarage ok I’ll try to get some, thanks for your help 🙂👍
Hi again is that the ceramic grease?
where can i buy one rob?
As far as I am aware, åf rayspeed are the UK distributor but seen them for sale in quite a few different places.
