i loved this show
who was your fav ?
for me, it was Don Knotts :)
Me too.
I was trying to find a video of the episode where they decide to honor a stranger for, I believe, Mayberry’s Founders Day. In it, they choose a man who is a professional pickpocket. I was looking for when Floyd says “There’s nothing to worry about in Mayberry.”
Mayberry was and is an actual place. It's located a short distance northeast of Mt. AIRY N.C. across the state line into VA. Andy Griffiths grandparents lived there.
There are 249 episodes of TAGS, not 149. Howard McNear was terrific as Floyd Lawson. He suffered a stroke in 1962; it was a real testament to Andy, the show, and McNear himself that he came back in 1964 and continued on until 1967. He and Ellen Corby were true pros who proved that you can continue doing what you love doing even after a catastrophic event.
After a lesson when I was a lad, my teacher and I would kick it and watch Andy(1970?). He was in the St.Louis symphony
Didn't know Andy was in the symphony
Without any doubt, my most favorite character on TAGS!
He also voiced the animated Mr. Digit in the 1961 AT&T instructional video, "Mr. Digit and the Battle of Bubbling Brook." It was the Bell System's first attempt to get rid of named telephone exchanges in favor of all-numeric dialing.
I’ve often wondered if the character of Howard Sprague was named Howard in honor of Howard McNear.
Very good documentary, well-written. But why use a computer voice?
🙏🙏
Andy Griffith Show was empty with No Floyd.
Hello : “People Are Wholesome”. I TRULY hope you are correct, however, from what I’ve been seeing since 2016, I have my doubts. I’m hoping you and wholesomeness will win in the end . . .
So so.

My Great Uncle.
Were his speech patterns the same as the character he protrayed?
Hey Mr. Narrarator, this audio presentation is not your Forte sorry. Boring and monotonous and repeating what other videos have been saying for years. Get some new material and hire a professional communicator.
Thank you Mr. Computer. Bad job
