Piper is in my top 5 favorite wrestlers of all time. I want this, but i may wait like another subscriber said. Piper and JYD were my first 2 LJN figures. A Race/JYD 2 pack would be great. 2 gripping hands on George so he can hold a microphone and cut a very in depth promo.

I let them breathe, with very few exceptions. I have a few in boxes like The Rock with the brahma bull belt, that one looks great in the package, plus I don't have any room on my shelf for multiple versions of the same character. I even throw the boxes away like a young Kyle, except for the ultimate editions, I keep those boxes.
I definitely had to get this set, believe it or not mostly bc George the animal. Hes such a nostalgia figure for me, he was one of the first figures i ever got when i was a young kyle lol 😂 awesome reviews keep up the grind per usual
Like a young Kyle, I ordered this and within days it came in. All I had was a used basic Piper and never owned a George Steel. These figures are awesome, but I’m a little bummed that there is a possible repaint coming. I’m not one to buy multiple versions of the same figure. It’s a great combo set, and it’s awesome to have Piper & Steel in the collection.
I’m definitely adding but waiting for a deal or another item to go up to save on shipping. I thought we would of seen Piper with Orton and George with Steamboat because I want to see Macho with Liz 😊 Agree Kyle we should of seen the red rings on the shirt or red trunks so they can release his traditional look of shirt & blue trunks in the legends UE with bag pipes.
Had both LJN's as a kid. I want these but I am definitely tempted to wait until the end of next year and see if Mattel does a big BOGO sale on these like they did this year. The RUDE/ROBERTS, HOGAN/FUNK, MUHAMMAD ALI 2 packs were all on sale during Black Friday . I would love two of these, so I'm quite tempted to play the long game.
Yeah if they were going to do the shirt like that and they are going to release a repaint then…we should have got red trunks and knee pads just to be different. I’m hoping for a early 90s Ultimate Piper with new headsculpts and the longer hair (movie period). Preying they knock it out of the park.

This is cool, but I think I'm gonna pass (as of right now) on this. George "The Animal" Steel would be a cool edition to my collection. There are two Pipers I reallywant in my collection. I would love to see a WrestleMania XII Piper when he fought Goldust in the Hollywood backlot brawl. I would also like to see WrestleMania IV Piper when he sprayed Morton Downey Jr with a fire extinguisher. Hell, I would love to see a Ringside exclusive Morton Downey Jr from WrestleMania IV for the collectors. Piper has a lot of looks and moments we could capture in figure form.
The picture on the packaging and cardback both show the red trim on Piper’s shirt, so it is a bit disappointing the figure shirt is not accurate to their own package rendering of Hot Rod!
Can anyone tell me why the kilt stripes are at an angle and not running vertical/horizontal? The pattern direction is right on the artwork. Drives me nuts as a Scotsman. Worse than having blue trucks and no red stripes on the shirt.
Another issue with the accuracy from the Mattel to the LJN is with the George Steele. For some reason he had red knew pads on in the LJN and the Mattel one he doesn't. Which I don't think he wore knee pads on the outside of his rights if he wore them at all.
This was a day one purchase for me. I also picked up a superstars edition of Piper from Walmart…just to get the red trim shirt!
Love this set, really want to see Bam Bam, Steamboat, Santana, Hacksaw and Muroco in this line!
You can probably do a Muraco and Santana in one set.

Played the long game here and got this for $35. Both figures are great but I love the Piper especially
