Thanks for the Video! Just an FYI to other noobs like me, some clutches can be hydraulic instead of cable. It's even easier to swap the clutch lever in that case, just pop the new one in, no adjusting, and you'll need to take two small pieces out of the old lever (a round brass thingy and a small rod) - make sure you put it back together in the same direction as it came off :) I was just a bit surprised when I popped mine off and it looked different (the reservoir of hydraulic fluid obviously should have tipped me off, lol!)
Jenna C Same shit happened to me. I made a sharp turn in mud and fell and my clutch handle broke and my bike fell side ways and the engine started smoking. Luckily it still was working.
Nice video, thanks! My bike fell on its side and snapped the ball off the end of the clutch lever, it still works fine but failed the annual roadworthiness test (I'm in Europe) as they consider it dangerous (could impale someone in an accident?!) So, depending where you live, cutting the ball off to make shorties might not be road legal... could always stick a gobstopper/jawbreaker on the end though I guess :)
Thanks. In the USA, you never ever have to have an inspection, unless you are moving a motorcycle from one state to another and want to get a license plate in the new state.
no, almost all bikes have some degree of that. Older ones will have more, newer ones will usually have less. You can either shim the pivot pin/bolt or buy a new lever to tighten it up a bit.
So I crashed, lost part of the lever and asked on Polish site if it seems to be OK to drive like that and I was smashed to the ground for being so irresponsible for riding without that ball at the end endengaring other people. And since my dealer takes $50 to replace it I was like what the heck, I will order even better once from aliexpress for $25 and do it myself. But how do you do that yourself? Is there some kind of magic compared to your bicycle? Let's find out. And here I am looking at your video where you present an idea to shorten the levers at 2:12 by just cuting out the balls :D I surely know hot to replace them though :) cheers
These are the video’s that I need! Quick, not complex and stuff that you can do with one hand! 🙌🏻
Thanks!

Very great video and other information..Thank you!
You’re welcome.
Is there another point where you can give the cable some slack on the bike?
Some cables have a nut adjuster somewhere along the cable that makes it longer or shorter.
How do you know what to do with the tensioners?
If my clutch lever moves up toward the sky and down toward the ground with more freeplay than normal, is that bad?

Excellent video!
Thank you very much!
my clutch lever bolt won’t come out the lock nut isn’t coming off can someone help
Will there be any problem, if i replace clutch lever?.. I bought my bike 3 Weeks ago but 2 days ago suddenly fall & clutch lever bent :(
Shouldn’t be any problem. Replacing the lever will fix it.
took a turn and fell clutch lever snapped off
My "internal adjuster" wouldnt give me any slack and just chewed the cable nice
And the bolt chewed the fuck out of the thread on the way out due to no slack making it come out at an angle
Thanks sir
You’re welcome
Thanks.........happy everything
