Bronze is too brittle to bend as you are trying. If sterling is too expensive try copper. Also try thinner twigs which when cast will still be very hefty

I'm coming to that conclusion as well! Guess my experiment isn't turning out the way I wanted to but that's fine, this way I'm learning. Sometimes it's hard to find the right information and no matter how many videos I watch or books I read, things become really clear when I experiment. But thanks for confirming my suspicions!
