- Musician Nick Endacott Gibb tells Latest TV Presenter, Yael Breuer, about his musical collaboration with BeeGees cousin on a remake of the hit single 'Tragedy'. Nick found out he was the son of musical legend, Maurice Gibb of BeeGees fame, and explained the family connection and why he wanted to remake the song in a different style.

Beautifully done , your dad would of been proud , im sad to hear that some of the Gibbs family haven’t wanted to meet you , you are part of them , I can understand that your dads wife would be unhappy about this situation but at the end of the day you was born and she needs to step up and think of what your dad would of wanted and if he was still with us im sure he would of wanted to meet you , you said it wasn’t about gaining money from the Gibbs family but to be fair you are entitled you are he’s blood and I’m sure your dad would of wished to help you , good luck to you and I hope one day the Gibbs family will find it in their heart to want to meet you and bring you into their family .

Gee Lesley and Linda look very similar. Nick has just done what a lot of adoptees need, to know where they came from. The Gibb family, ie Barry should acknowledge him and he deserves compensation. Maurice was his dad, whether he is adopted or not. I think it's rude that after such proof that they haven't reached out and maybe did their own tests. He is a part of Maurice who is now gone, that she be precious to them. Well done Lesley for reaching out to him and encouraging Deb to do the same. She said in an I terview that he is so much like her brothers, his cousins that he even giggles the same.

I never understand how superstar's brains work but I feel I would love to have met if just once my late brother's son especially a late brother who I adored and I know that both Barry and Maurices twin Robin absolutely died inside when Maurice passed away, so I am perplexed as to why they refused to meet him.
And yes I know Robin has now passed away too.

I so agree. So glad that Lesley reached out to him. I think it's rude that the family have ignored him. It wasn't his fault and it was Maurice's responsibility and as he is now gone, Barry should have a knowledged and reached out to him. He deserves compensation. Maurice had absolutely no clue about him even existing. It would be nice of Barry to at least meet with him and check him out. Maybe have his own testing of DNA done to see the proof for his self. Although Barry was not on good terms with any of his brothers when they passed including congenial Maurice. He was still mad at him during his funeral and stayed outside til it was pretty much over. Then got in Michael Jackson's car and left. He also wouldn't work with anyone on a tribute for Mo so the whole thing ended up being cancelled. Then when Barry did a concert honoring his brothers, he started with Andy and said all kinds of nice things about him then he went to Mo and said Mo was gadgets man and then he went on to talk about Robin with a few nice things to say about Robin also some not so complementary things. He also wrote 2 or 3 songs for Robin also they wrote a whole album for Andy which I thought was wonderful for both of them, but I have not found one song that he wrote saying it was for Maurice😢💔 So I said all that to say perhaps it's not in him to do anything kind towards anything Maurice. Kimd of breaks my heart really and makes me feel very differently toward Barry.

It's sad that Maurice never even knew that Nick existed... I wonder why his bio mom couldn't just be honest with her son and with Maurice. She still denies everything to this day and even told Nick that his dad was someone else. Nick found the man and spent 2 years with him thinking he was his dad and was hopeful but a DNA test proved he wasn't the father. When Nick told his bio mom Patti about it she completely went silent on him and refused to talk any further about who possibly could be his father. She said 'It's all a lie" to the media. It was Patti's sister who revealed to Nick that Maurice could possibly be his father, and Patti got very upset with her and doesn't speak to Nick about it any further. His DNA is matching with Adam Gibb, Maurice's other son, that's how Nick found out (There's a full article about it online) Why couldn't Patti just be honest? Why did she have to lie? Maurice was 17 at the time the baby was conceived, I wonder if it had something to do with the age and due to Maurice being a minor and she wasn't?
Anyway, I'm sure if Maurice was alive today, or if Patti told her son the truth before Maurice's passing, he would have accepted his son into the family.

I am a bit confused about your choice of photos which you have showcased here. Nick is the son of Maurice Gibb. But not one photo of Maurice by himself, just group pics of the Bee Gees ensemble and family. There is one photo shown twice of Nick's mother Patty and there are multiple photos of Nick's aunt Lesley but none of her daughter Debora McLane who is actually singing with Nick in this version of Tragedy. Just strange really.

Sadly, I never got to tell the boys about Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, as we traveled in different directions and never got to cross paths or connect again.. I'm sure had they learnt about it as Tina Turner, Boy George, Orlando Bloom and so many other people have, like many of us, they may have been able to change their destinies. So here is a message for you Nick and your uncle Barry...
A segment from 'Saved by the Light of the Buddha Within'...
Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the three-part 'Great Universal Mystic Law' and the identity of what some scientists are now referring to as the unified field of consciousnesses. In other words, it’s the essence of all existence and non-existence - the ultimate creative force behind planets, stars, nebulae, people, animals, trees, fish, birds, and all phenomena, manifest or latent. All matter and intelligence are simply waves or ripples manifesting to and from this core source. Consciousness (enlightenment) is itself the actual creator of everything that exists now, ever existed in the past, or will exist in the future - right down to the minutest particles of dust - each being an individual ripple or wave.
The big difference between chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo and most other conventional prayers is that instead of depending on a ‘middleman’ to connect us to our state of inner enlightenment, we’re able to do it ourselves. That’s because chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo allows us to tap directly into our enlightened state by way of this self-produced sound vibration. ‘Who or What Is God?’ If we compare the concept of God being a separate entity that is forever watching down on us, to the teachings of Nichiren, it makes more sense to me that the true omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence of what most people perceive to be God, is the fantastic state of enlightenment that exists within each of us. Some say that God is an entity that’s beyond physical matter - I think that the vast amount of information continuously being conveyed via electromagnetic waves in today’s world gives us proof of how an invisible state of God could indeed exist.
For example, it’s now widely known that specific data relayed by way of electromagnetic waves has the potential to help bring about extraordinary and powerful effects - including an instant global awareness of something or a mass emotional reaction. It’s also common knowledge that these invisible waves can easily be used to detonate a bomb or to enable NASA to control the movements of a robot as far away as the Moon or Mars - none of which is possible without a receiver to decode the information that’s being transmitted. Without the receiver, the data would remain impotent. In a very similar way, we need to have our own ‘receiver’ switched on so that we can activate a clear and precise understanding of our own life, all other life and what everything else in existence is.
Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day helps us to achieve this because it allows us to reach the core of our enlightenment and keep it switched on. That’s because Myoho-Renge-Kyo represents the identity of what scientists now refer to as the unified field of consciousnesses. To break it down - Myoho represents the Law of manifestation and latency (Nature) and consists of two alternating states. For example, the state of Myo is where everything in life that’s not obvious to us exists - including our stored memories when we’re not thinking about them - our hidden potential and inner emotions whenever they’re dormant - our desires, our fears, our wisdom, happiness, karma - and more importantly, our enlightenment.
The other state, ho, is where everything in Life exists whenever it becomes evident to us, such as when a thought pops up from within our memory - whenever we experience or express our emotions - or whenever a good or bad cause manifests as an effect from our karma. When anything becomes apparent, it merely means that it’s come out of the state of Myo (dormancy/latency) and into a state of ho (manifestation). It’s the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness, being awake or asleep, or knowing and not knowing.
The second law - Renge - Ren meaning cause and ge meaning effect, governs and controls the functions of Myoho - these two laws of Myoho and Renge, not only function together simultaneously but also underlies all spiritual and physical existence.
The final and third part of the tri-combination - Kyo, is the Law that allows Myoho to integrate with Renge - or vice versa. It’s the great, invisible thread of energy that fuses and connects all Life and matter - as well as the past, present and future. It’s also sometimes termed the Universal Law of Communication - perhaps it could even be compared with the string theory that many scientists now suspect exists.
Just as the cells in our body, our thoughts, feelings and everything else is continually fluctuating within us - all that exists in the world around us and beyond is also in a constant state of flux - constantly controlled by these three fundamental laws. In fact, more things are going back and forth between the two states of Myo and ho in a single moment than it would ever be possible to calculate or describe. And it doesn’t matter how big or small, famous or trivial anything or anyone may appear to be, everything that’s ever existed in the past, exists now or will exist in the future, exists only because of the workings of the Laws ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ - the basis of the four fundamental forces, and if they didn’t function, neither we nor anything else could go on existing. That’s because all forms of existence, including the seasons, day, night, birth, death and so on, are moving forward in an ongoing flow of continuation - rhythmically reverting back and forth between the two fundamental states of Myo and ho in absolute accordance with Renge - and by way of Kyo. Even stars are dying and being reborn under the workings of what the combination ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’ represents. Nam, or Namu - which mean the same thing, are vibrational passwords or keys that allow us to reach deep into our life and fuse with or become one with ‘Myoho-Renge-Kyo’.
On a more personal level, nothing ever happens by chance or coincidence, it’s the causes that we’ve made in our past, or are presently making, that determine how these laws function uniquely in each of our lives - as well as the environment from moment to moment. By facing east, in harmony with the direction that the Earth is spinning, and chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo for a minimum of, let’s say, ten minutes daily to start with, any of us can experience actual proof of its positive effects in our lives - even if it only makes us feel good on the inside, there will be a definite positive effect. That’s because we’re able to pierce through the thickest layers of our karma and activate our inherent Buddha Nature (our enlightened state). By so doing, we’re then able to bring forth the wisdom and good fortune that we need to challenge, overcome and change our adverse circumstances - turn them into positive ones - or manifest and gain even greater fulfilment in our daily lives from our accumulated good karma. This also allows us to bring forth the wisdom that can free us from the ignorance and stupidity that’s preventing us from accepting and being proud of the person that we indeed are - regardless of our race, colour, gender or sexuality. We’re also able to see and understand our circumstances and the environment far more clearly, as well as attract and connect with any needed external beneficial forces and situations. As I’ve already mentioned, everything is subject to the law of Cause and Effect - the ‘actual-proof-strength’ resulting from chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo always depends on our determination, sincerity and dedication.
For example, the levels of difference could be compared to making a sound on a piano, creating a melody, producing a great song, and so on. Something else that’s very important to always respect and acknowledge is that the Law (or if you prefer God) is in everyone and everything.
NB: There are frightening and disturbing sounds, and there are tranquil and relaxing sounds. It’s the emotional result of any noise or sound that can trigger off a mood or even instantly change one. When chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo each day, we are producing a sound vibration that’s the password to our true inner-self - this soon becomes apparent when you start reassessing your views on various things - such as your fears and desires etc. The best way to get the desired result when chanting is not to view things conventionally - rather than reaching out to an external source, we need to reach into our own lives and bring our needs and desires to fruition from within - including the good fortune and strength to achieve any help that we may need. Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo also reaches out externally and draws us towards, or draws towards us, what we need to make us happy from our environment. For example, it helps us to be in the right place at the right time - to make better choices and decisions and so forth. We need to think of it as a seed within us that we’re watering and bringing sunshine to for it to grow, blossom and bring forth fruit or flowers. It’s also important to understand that everything we need in life, including the answer to every question and the potential to achieve every dream, already exists within us.

IMO, they took out all that was great about the original- the falsetto and the intensity of the musical arrangement. It is very pretty, but if you read the lyrics, it is not" meant to be a pretty song! You both have nice voices though!

I'd be interested to see the full info about why he thinks that he's Mo's son. He claims that he is a 100% DNA match to Mo's son with Yvonne. That is not possible. Only identical twins can have 100% DNA match because they divided from the same embryo. Full siblings (same parents) have about a 50% match to each other because they pick up different genetic traits from one another (e.g. hair and eye color, skin tone, height, etc. A half sibling (this is what they are) have an approximately 25% match. It's interesting that he said that all he wants is to know who is bio parents are and doesn't want anything from the family, but he's changed his name (who does that to their adoptive parents) and now is recording Bee Gees songs (with the daughter of Mo's sister who wasn't a Bee Gee or performer otherwise. Maybe he is, but what he says does not match how DNA works or what he's doing.
100% Half Sibling, they share the same father. YDNA stays the same through the male line. Only 1 Bee Gee cover recorded and released in July 2021 and since 2 more original songs with Debora, his cousin, niece of Maurice, and a performer of 25 years in Australia. Ref using Gibb name, Endacott is his adoptive name, Gibb is his genetic name, it's surely his choice as an adoptee to honour both?
In another interview, he says that he is a 50 percent genetic match to Adam Gibb. That also is not possible. Full siblings are ~50 percent. Half siblings are 25 percent. Something is off. He says that all he wants is genetic and medical info but he's off singing Bee Gees music.

I hear echoes of all 3, Mo , Robin and Barry. He looks nothing like a Gibb except when I saw his hands on another show, they really reminded me of Barry's. Especially the way they are shaped and the size, really long. The pictures they used though are very strange and everytime they showed Maurice the picture would shift until he was no longer in the picture and all of the pictures shown, I actually just saw on another podcaster who did a happy birthday post for Lesley, whose birthday is January 12, 1945 same month and day that Maurice died on January 12, 2003.

And Maurice constantly had rolls in the hay. I was one of them. He cheated on his wife so much she was either blind or dumb as a box of rocks. As a matter fact when he died he had multiple active STDs.

I was wondering about that too. But it's likely that Barry gave permission to his niece Debbie. And since Debbie and her mom Lesley (Barry's eldest sister) have welcomed this guy perhaps Barry and the two Gibb widows just turn a blind eye. I have a feeling that they probably don't want to have anything to do with him much. Both Adam and Samantha (Maurice's children) are singers. This guy could have collaborated with his half siblings (if he's in fact Maurice's son) instead of a cousin, but that's not the case.

@@TheRene954 I think he said in another interview that he was able to match his DNA with Adam's (with Adam's permission). Still, I'm very skeptical about it. I personally know two people whose paternity tests have proved to be inaccurate. These days I think it requires more than one testing and must be done from very reliable labs. In any event, he comes across as an opportunist to me. If he's really Mo's son, he could have approached the whole thing in private. The fact that he's gone public and used the Bee Gees' song for his personal gain is very shady to me. It would have been different if there's an acknowledgment from Barry, Adam, Samantha or even Yvonne.

It wasn't discovered that he was Mo's until way after Mo's death. If Mo knew he had another son out there I believed Mo would be happy and do the right thing. I wish Mo's other children would embrace him. I don't think he wants their money.
