I learned two things from this video: 1. Concrete powder sorters is a thing apparently 2. Gerg is very intrensically motovated because he really spent too much time making something so pointless
@@Sussyboy816 unfortunately not, as stationary anvils are immovable blocks (ignoring the fact that they fall), and the sorter clearly moves both the block being sorted and the block it’s comparing it to. And besides, there’s a good chance that even if it could sort anvils, the fall through the sorter would damage it. That said, since anvils can’t be pushed, you can at least seperate them out easily by checking if the block that fell in front of the piston can be pushed.
Honestly, this is the type of thing that might not look the most impressive on the surface, but when you see how it was made, it becomes infinitely more complex
You can pass the randomly generated stream through one of the powder AND gates, and the player stream on the other end, so you don't have to use several powder ANDs, making it a bit simpler and compact.
@@_gerg Two AND gates in series, one of the players' stream will be evaluated a few blocks before the others'. Should be faster, or, or, two different game inputs (different for each player) in front of eachother, this could also prevemt copying, and will be WAY faster. I think I could make it work.
The construction of each section was explained really well and the final put together and automated process is very satisfying! My guess for the analysis engine was by breaking the sand and then putting them through item sorters. But learning about the powder sorter is really really neat. Sounds super useful for future projects too.
The easy strat would be to only memories the location of one color and fill the rest in with one solid color. Depending on what colors you picked, you get 7-9 points. 7 Beating both your scores.
So cool! I think you could compact the redstone by generating an item string alongside the initial block string, then comparing the players' blocks by comparing them to the items in a simple item filter setup
That frame constraint for the piston machinery is just the kind of perfectionism I love! It would be nice to be able to compare the three canvases before error counting; like when both players have pressed the button, the original gets revealed again for self evaluation, and then they all fall down at the same time.

Gerg probably needs a NASA PC to run all of those redstone in his world.
You could also sort the powder by breaking it and then hoppers, given the redstone changes
I would’ve guessed he did this by exploding the concrete, using item sorters to find matches, and rebuilding the pattern with stored concrete
this is also where i get my raw unfiltered and now despairing sarcasm from
Petition to stop making so many shorts and start making this atleast 9 minutes long pieces of art.
Or, instead of using powder sorters, you could use torches to break powder and use regular item sorters. Would be faster too, but less cool
