I blind bought it. I enjoy it. It feels very heavy on my skin and lasts forever. That being said, I dont wear it often as it feels more like a special situation type fragrance. Who knows. Maybe that will change once spring/summer rolls around.
Nice review! I liked this fragrance because of it’s pineapple and coconut notes but it seemed too dense to wear in hot weather which limited the times I would wear it. If I want to wear something tropical, I’d like to be able to do so on a hot day by the pool. But maybe that’s just me.
Not trying to be a snob, but Gautier its been on the same page as terry Mugler. i have not smelled anything that impacted me to do a full bottle in years ...that scandal is ok another sweet bomb 💣. Great review on this one. Thanks Marc
@Robes08. If you would switch up the Le Male perfume and release a new flanker, that inhibits the OG but veers off in a different direction... What would u do? How can they improve on it?
I would be simple and not go too crazy, enhance the mint up top to give the user a really uplifting mint note then in the back end give it some smoky woods (guiac perhaps). Just small changes.
Always enjoy your JPG reviews, I prefer Le Beau EDT to the EDP from a consistency standpoint (opening to drydown). Bottle worthy only at a steep discount as a fun vaca fragrance

a tropical fragrance that's suitable only for Fall & Winter. Too strong and sweet for warm weather. So when you're down for coconut for in Winter ❄ Pineapple is only a top note. Mark was point on this one
I think I know the reason on why you lost the pineapple and iris smell because your nose was trying to pick up new sense and you got a little bit nose blind so your nose was looking for other sense
"But that tonka [...] sucks all the personality out of a fragrance]." I couldn't have said it better. Also, that same tonka is what is keeping me from getting the original edt, which I like right upon spraying, but that then turns into this generic tonka bomb that leaves me wondering "why?". I hope they release a fruity/floral version at some point. I think this sweet-to-the-extreme phylosophy that JPG has been chanelling lately is really doing more damage than anything. It's always been a brand that demanded you to take it with a tongue in cheek attitude, but now it's become the epitome of tackyness.

Seems like you enjoy it which is the important part. You'll find it's spot in the rotation eventually.

I do agree on that concept, sometimes you need to figure out how to wear it to maximize it. This can do well in the summer nights.

Well Mugler has been quiet lately, hopefully they are cooking something big for us.
I agree with you, except on Scandal: that's the worst from JPG, and one of the worst perfumes ever, for me.

I just received LBLP, is there two version? mine made in Spain is surprisingly weak, maybe the other made in france performs better
If they have a few places that the fragrance is done they would utilize the same recipe especially a fragrance that is this modern.

The original Le Beau is a better scent imo at the moment, i love the coconut in it. I'd sample them both and see which one you prefer.
