It's really dangerous to remove the 12V battery the way you did: You should always disconnect the negative side FIRST and then the positive. Reason: The negative is the earth and the connection to metallic elements of the car - if you disconnect the positive first, you could create a short between the positive of the 12V battery and a metallic part of the car. This is basic electric safety and I think you should rework your tutorial.
I just brought a second hand model 3 2020 model. Already having crazy battery problems 😮 Lots of error messages. It thinks its connected to a charger but not charging. I thought my car troubles would be over now I have an electric car .

Thank you this help fix my mom car
My model Y did it after only 400 miles. In service now. New battery needed.
How is it going with the battery? It seems there are problems in Model 3´s and Y´s as well in Panasonic battery at least.
This worked, thank you!
Main question is whether this disconnection of the battery trick will void the HV battery warranty or not.
What was the error code that it displayed?

Thanks for sharing. Is it ok to discount the negative side of the battery? I did follow your instructions but unfortunately didn’t work for me:(
Doing this right now. We will see in couple of minutes.
It worked, Awesome and thank you. I hope it's a permanent fix. I most likely need to get a new battery.
Update: unable to charge came back just right now. Not even a day, smh. Needed new battery for sure.
