Roger, truly the universe is speaking to me right now. I’ve had this duo for years. However, a slightly different configuration. But never seen an accurate example of specifically these two pieces doing this function. The more you dive into this duo, I will definitely be even happier. ThE vs2400 has been my unicorn since purchase. (Never fully understood). 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

If you had the MV8-OP1. I believe if I remember correctly that you could go digital back into the MV without creating the loop. I had a video where you could run a digital cable from the digital out back into the digital in and use the sample screen instead of resample. I’ll have to research that again. It may open up some other possibilities.

Nice video!! Quick question and kinda off topic, in song mode on the MV, is there a way to solo each sound from a single patch with 4 banks of sounds of a pattern after inserting to a pattern track in song mode? I’m trying to track out each sound from a full song and record each stem to a audio track just for the wav file. Then repeat till each sound has been recorded. I’m not trying to dump to a DAW using MIDI, I want to keep the original sound of the MV, I hope that makes sense. Thanks For any info!!!

    • @theMIDImaniac
      @theMIDImaniac  4 роки тому +2

      1 Tekneek Thanks!
      And thanks for asking.
Inserting patterns, AFAIK, in song mode is an easy way to create a song but you don’t have direct control over all created tracks. You can’t solo those tracks separately.
What I did is creating midi clips from the patterns and copied them to song mode to have the tracks all separated available in song mode.
This is not an easy method and perhaps somebody else would say:”that can be done quicker!’.
I noticed that tracks in the pattern track are stuck. What I mean, you can’t control anything. No midi cc, no sysex, no mixer. That’s why I started to copy the tracks from pattern to song.
      I hope this helps.

All instruments are connected to the Inputs on the VS.

The speakers are powered and amplified? I mean, do they have their own amplifier (Monitor speakers)

@@aanon2550 there’s no need to create a tempo map for your recording. I would sample your recording. Afterwards you set the measures and the bpm is automatically calculated. Then you can set the sample to match the bpm without affecting the pitch and you’re good to go.

@@adakadakbassbot8648 the combo Mv Vs is dope, but as you stated I dont switch on my Vs only To record final vocals after extensive work on the Mv in fact I have a Roland mmp2 preamp plugged straight to the Mv to record vocals on the Mv to do demos and sometimes make song straight to the Mv without caring of the Vs. But the Vs is pretty dope deeper eq dynamics on each tracks fx because unless you resample toi can be limited with the Mv since it has only 1 mfx, 1 reverb and 1 delay and eq only for parts. And the Vs plugins are dangerous and also the bit rate of the recording is improved in the Vs. Also the flying faders and R-Bus integration if you have the MvOp1 the 2 will go hand to hand.

djspinista you can do two things.

No, don't have a video about that.
But you want to use R-Bus to send sounds from the MV into the 2480?
      That is easy to do.
Just connect the both machines through R-Bus.
Then in the mixer of the MV you have to change the output for each part to M1, M2, M3, etc (mono) or M1/2, M3/4, etc (stereo)
In your VS you have to set the incoming R-Bus to the input channels of your choice.

And isn't there a way to expand output channels from the 2400CD?
I'm sure I've seen that somewhere..
Some sort of adapter, or card I needed to buy or something..

xisotopex I totally understand what you mean.
It’s that I’m from the old school and I agree that I see today too many instant editing machines but no standalone hardware with midi sequencing possibilities.
I was thinking to buy Squarp but I just love those huge old machines.
The MV is a very complete production station with lots of possibilities. You have to invest time to get it known.
It’s more than just a 16-pad sample unit.
Good luck with searching for the right one.

Bought this machine when i wanted to record my own music when i was in university. I ended up selling it because couldn't figure out how to use it :( Found it too complicated

Yeah...I can imagine that....It's not a ready-to-play-unit. Pretty complicated and official.
That's why they can be bought so cheap nowadays.
