Why do you always run the Widow Mines all the way into the middle of the mineral-line? He'd have less time to notice and react if you burrow it on the edge.
I do face this on ladder like once every few months. It's extremely rare but what would be the ideal counter to this? I'm thinking bio ghost viking for Terran, similar to late game TVZs. The ghosts would be great if you could EMP the ravens. Vikings are pretty obvious and the bio could use marauders to break down planetaries, outrange widow mines, and they should be good against the armored auto turrets. There's no point in building tanks because they lack mobility and the marauders should be enough if there are no enemy tanks or marines. Late game, BCs would be good because they aren't as threatened by mines and the ravens here don't have vikings with them to actually make use of the interference matrix. BCs can easily fly away from the auto turrets when they get hit by interference matrix or anti armor missile. For TVP, maybe some kind of templar stalker army into carriers late game. The templar are there for feedbacks and to storm the Raven flock. The stalkers are better than zealots because they won't charge into mines and they would be the big mineral unit as compared to templars. For late game, mines aren't very good against carriers but IDK how well they would do against raven spam. I have no idea for Zerg except roach viper but I'm very bad at Zerg.

My guess is they just aren't that good. He uses the missiles from time to time. But I litterally don't know what the 3rd one is. Has he used it at all in this challenge? Or is it like the third infestor ability. Basically completely useless
@@renardnoir2581 Third one is interference matrix. It renders one mech /psi unit unable to attack and use abilities for dozen of seconds. I think he uses mostly turrets coz turrents is basically single thing that could, you know, damage things. That completly changes priorities and combat economy.
@@renardnoir2581 Target still can move =) Its good in normal circumstances, common usage is disabling enemy sieged tanks for example, so they can not attack, nor move since siedged, nor unsiedge since its an ability. But with ravens only disabling something for 10 seconds instead of putting 1.5 turret more probably just a waste of energy in most cases.
#ChallengeSuggestion : Macro Zerg to 6k It may sound dull, i know, but just think about the character development!! By the end of it, Thermy's Random would be an absolute menace in every tournament he decides to terrorize. (right now his only clear weakness is his zerg being too predictable) And all in all, his macro games are always interesting and innovative in some way. I'm sure he can get to 6k even if refusing to build vipers. So, only rule: no all-inning before 10minute mark. Trading and harassment are fine. Please.

The advantage of turtle tech is that it takes time to destroy, while your opponent if flying can then utilize speed and flight to do more damage and come back and make suffice to remove tanks and other units. If I didn't see this too late, I would build Vikings in clusters that can one shot ravens, thus any ravens approaching would get one shotted, defensive vikings, and a couple ravens, then a smaller standing army, possibly clusters of tanks or a few widow mines ot counter widow mine attacks.. but meh... Terrans or his solution ot hte planetary would be, siege up shell shock it and then go forward, adn has ot repeat this which will take many minutes mean while.. 15 20 seconds your on the other side of the map killing scvs, and more... lol and cna fly back also... effective. If i was doing the siege, I would probably attempt to get enough damage to do greater than 60% damage in a siege volley, usually that out damages repair cost of scvs.. or optimal is one shot a planetary.. this expedites things... Also ghosts are exceptionally good at ravens, since they can cloak and emp the energy of ravens. Although ravens can see cloaked units it would be wham there, so much like protoss templar storm prism micro, you need to do ghost emp medivac micro, then you can just drop emp and fly away... forever nerfing the ravens effectiveness... The emp destroys, x turret potential instantly... its also something terran doesnt do against T becuase maybe lack thereof, but I like T vs T matches. Since sabotage is a skill that cna be used with ghosts, IE send ghosts with the means mid nad late game to constantly nullify energy of orbitals you do thi when they start killing scvs off, for a larger army, so heavy tax their income... a quick drop emp and fly away boost is effect, and with a turret or Viking setup chances are you can make it back... Although turrets can impose a risk there usually is an area to get in.. meh

You also an (ex)-pro and current full-time gamer? Have a feeling as a terran main, that's one of the finer points uThermal figured out ages ago.
dropping that mule to safe the factory is always worth. you might miss out slightly on mineral mining, but saving gas is worth imo.
