I consider this song as a top 10 guitar song of all time. So impressed on how well you nailed it. Blackmore's on my top 10 guitarist list, along w/ EVH, Lifeson, Beck, Clapton and Malmsteen. I'm no guitarist but it seems Fender was created for the above-mentioned guitarists (less so for Lifeson). Blackmore's is underated to me.
I don’t think Ritchie played the original recording solo and if he did…. He forgot how great it was and could never duplicate the most staccato epic solo ever. If I had not play along with EVH and his Tourette’s style of playing…. I would have never learned this solo at all…… don’t forget the MXR flanger with a low rate set to sound like a ring modulator. Kind of like playing Eruption without a Phase 45….. close but not quite…. Nice solo and you are so close to it all and know the song well!!!

Those are Lace Sensor Style, correct? I Have a Blackmore Signature Strat w/SD Quarter Pounder Pickups, But I am Curious to Possibly Make the Switch....Do You Like the L4's??
