Im fairly new to MSFS, but have spent the past couple months learning as much as I can. Being super analytical I likely jumped into the deep end much too soon. After a nearly endless number of hours watching navigation and aircraft videos, this has to be toward the top of the list for providing a clear and understandable presentation of AP. Greta job, and thanks for the video
Tutorials just the way I like them! I'll make sure to watch the rest of your content. I'd recommend everyone that's into MSFS to subscribe. Why can't every tutorial on MSFS be like this? Keep it up!
Clear and concise, but also well-paced without being condescending. Really great stuff. Keep coming back to your content to learn, and greatly improves my overall enjoyment of MSFS. Thanks!
Just found your channel today, and after watching a few of your videos I have to say you have by far the best approach to teaching I've seen on UA-cam flight sim tutorials. Clear, unrushed, well-organised, useful, and easy to understand. Bravo!
After all the hours of watching UA-cam tutorials on this subject, I finally found someone who made me understand!!! Thank you very much! You are very clear and precise. You didn’t skip or move too quickly. I’ll be sure to check out your other videos!
This is the best AutoPilot video I’ve seen. Can’t wait to see your other video. Subscribed. New to flight sims so I’m learning a lot. Have Honeycomb yoke, throttle quadrant and rudder by Logitech. Waiting for the Honeycomb Bravo. Yeah. Keep up the great work. God Bless
As someone new to the flight sim world, I found this video to be the best and most detailed tutorial for basic AP use. I also really liked your presentation and the way you moved your view to clearly show what you were doing. I have watched several other presenters who stay in the pilot’s position and simply I use their mouse so the view of a panel on the lower right is so skewed you cannot see what they are showing. Thank you and stay well.
I really appreciate your clear explanation and very organized training structure. It is so detailed and easy to understand! I am definitely going to watch your other tutorials! Thank you so much!
QUALITY CONTENT. Jesus Christ. Its incredible how QUALITY CONTENT on YT dont get the attention it should. Keep doing it bro. You are NAILING IT. Im subbing it.
You just made my day ! I've watched so many videos on autopilot and nav that all I am is confused. I'm so happy I stumbled upon your video . Great job my brother great job!
I have watched many vids explaining various systems in FS2020, and your instruction is by far the best. Clear speech with an economy of words and no rambling. Subscribed and looking to dive into your back catalog to learn more. Thank you!
Gotta say, very well done. Best flight sim training video I've seen yet! Just got myself an X56 and am struggling to learn how to fully utilize the sim. This video helped immensely.
Did this help? Oh yes, yes it did!! There are many no doubt excellent videos about the TBM 930 that quickly get very complex. Being new to this sim and wanting to learn this is a brilliant video, it really is. Very well explained and easy to follow, thank you so much.
Was finally able to do a short flight and maintain altitude and direction thanks to this video. Keep it up. I thought I'd have to manually fly everywhere and not be able to use autopilot ever and you changed that. Now I can really start enjoying myself. Very grateful for this video and the others I will watch. I laughed at myself for being better at flying in real life training at a very slow leisure pace for my PPL, as I could take off and land a piper archer already for real. Come to MSFS and just be fucked lol. This changed that.
Thanks for this video. Very clear and concise. This plane's autopilot was throwing me for a loop. Couldn't figure it out. I am used to the basic Cessna type autopilot and also the Learjet type autopilot. This one was significantly different to prevent me from using it correctly.
Thank you for a very understandable tutorial. Most of the others assume you know something about flying already. I grasped this on the first viewing and now can use AP. Based on this video I subscribed.
Thank you for the very clear and precise turotial. Now it all makes sense !! You an an excellent communicator. More please on the Daher TBM 930 A tutorial on filing a new flight plan while in flight would be most helpful - to me anyways....
I already watched a few videos of yours and I really like them. Good editing but not too much, nice voice and great explanation of the various things. I hope you could explain the other modes of the autopilot as well. I usually learn by doing things, that's how I understood how the modes explained in this video work ... but I couldn't understand "BC", "FD" (Flight Director), "BANK" or "VNV". The info in your last video I saw, that the runway number is actually its heading (append a zero to it) ... wow, that was an eye opener. That makes landing without ILS *so much easier* (guess that's why it was made like that) ;-)
FD (Flight Director): Only activates or deactivates the visual representation of what the autopilot is doing (if engaged) or would be doing (if not engaged) BC (Back Course): Is used to fly a "Localizer Back Course Approach". Imagine you are approaching a runway that (maybe due to terrain) does not have an ILS but the opposite direction has one. While the glideslope is only available on the "correct" side the localizer can also be used from the other side. So you can use this localizer with its reversed course to get at least lateral guidance for your approach. Airbus uses this btw. for their RWY mode during takeoff to keep the plane on the centerline using the localizer back course if available. BANK: Is limiting the bank angle the AP can fly by half of the usual range. VNV (Vertical Navigation): Used to let the AP clim, cruise and descend on the vertical profile defined in your flightplan.
Hey there, just discovered your channel thanks to this vid. Great help and very clear. Thanks a lot! Have my follow good Sir, and keep up the excellent work!
Another great instructional video :) If you’re looking for video ideas, I would like to see how to do an ILS Approach in the 172 using the G1000, and in the TBM930. Thanks for your help
Well done. Love the instruction. But the one aspect of troubleshooting you didn't cover is what to do if your AP simply will not turn on... I can set all the FD, ALT, NAV, VS, etc. I want, but for some reason my main AP will not turn on. I know this video was done over two years ago, but if you could help a brother out now, I'd appreciate it!
Excellent video. I wish you could also squeeze in approach mode and glide path and how to use it, as it is not really clear to me yet, and i would love to use it!
I flew this plane today for the first time and it went ok. Googled tutorials on it and came across your tutorial, which was well presented, paced and helped me somewhat with my understanding of the AP. One question though; I find in MSFS that rotating dials are so cumbersome, unlike in x-plane., which displays an arrow to the right and left of the dial to show which way it turns. I saw you do this and wondered what setting is it that changes the highlighted dial (yellow) to the turn arrows? Thank You.,
Well done, as stated below; finally someone knows how to teach & talk. My pleasure to subscribe.
I second this watched this video and immediately subscribed
Your lesson structure and pace and clarity are first class. You have a teaching gift. Thankyou.
Finally, someone who can teach and talk, straight to the point and well explained.
Great job.

Kip, you are very good at conveying information. If you’re not a teacher you should be. You have a talent.
Perfect! You a teacher by any chance? Clear, crisp and on topic (no drifting 😉). You sir, got yourself a new subscriber. 😃👍
No, not a teacher as far as my career goes :-) Thank you!

Great tutorial. I am heading over to the home cockpit to hop on TBM 930 right now! :)
Thanks for your straightforward and very clear instructions.
Amazing and clearly teaching video. So practical too. Superb.
Great video. I know this plane well but this was a very nice refresher. Thanks!
Thank you for explaining very well in a way that's super easy to understand!
You do excellent tutorials...keep them coming.
Solved my problems in understanding the autopilot! Nicely done.
It'S a great tutorial. This is my favorite bird. It has style, speed and great instruments.
It's amazing. I highly recommend checking out the free G3000 mod if you haven't already! www.workingtitle.aero/packages/g3000/

Great video. I did not know about having it climb at a certain speed.
Absolute hands-down best made for dummies tutorial. That really helped me. Thanks,
Thank you, your parts of the altitude control were perfectly explained. Helped me a lot.

Thank you for a very understandable tutorial. Most of the others assume you know something about flying already. I grasped this on the first viewing and now can use AP. Based on this video I subscribed.
Well done! Easy to follow along. I too have been struggling with the AP in the TBM.
Wow. Nice. I understood everything and lemme tell you, I'm thick! Great job man. Great job!
Crystal clear ! Cheers from France

Excellet ! Have been hasseling with the AP for months. This is very clear.
Thank you for the very clear and precise turotial. Now it all makes sense !! You an an excellent communicator. More please on the Daher TBM 930
A tutorial on filing a new flight plan while in flight would be most helpful - to me anyways....
This was fantastic, thank you very much. I love the TBM, but I was constantly hand flying because I didn't really understand the AP too well.
