I’m 20 miles from this area and only had power loss although stream and river homes took on water. I know this area well. All the mountains feed to those streams that flooded. Most of the houses are next to streams. Those homes will be total losses.
This gives me. Flashbacks of being on ground 0 of hurricane Katrina with the Army in the National Guard.I'm a disabled vete right now and I want to volunteer badly but physically i'm not able to anymore and i'm only 38 man, Three deployments on top of it too And I'll never compare it to, but you can't prepare for something like this, no matter how much you build. Sometimes it's just time to go And not look back, sometimes
First and foremost Mr Phillip I wanna give my profound gratitude of your service to ensure my freedoms !!! And you can help ! You can pray for all those affected, donate supplies, or donate money - just research before sending any money !! I feel the same way only with different circumstances. I wanna help but live very far away. Any other suggestions or ideas I’m very open to. Again, all my prayers. This is so incredibly sad. 💯🙏😞😢🇺🇸🥀
dang its bad when the road has become the river and is flowing that fast! only thing i would be worried is if they hit a washout area that is not visible because of the muddy water or an area where the road is just gone even that big truck will become stuck
Incredible video. We feel very lucky to have made it out and it took a lot to get us out. TY
Virginian here. Just want to say prayers are sent that way and god bless🙏

My ex lives in Globe,NC. Hoping they are ok. It's a long way to the store in good weather
Thank you for sharing this video
The national guard is 5 miles from the damage. They built a new building several years ago.
Thanks for posting, this is helpful

Glad to see the National Guard has arrived 👍🏻
But Boobn and camel Toe haven't, have they?
@@cherokeegirl5908 no they are complete idiots don’t want them down south send TRUMP 💪🏻
They & FEMA has been in the area on the ground since 2 days before the hurricane even made landfall.
This was filmed on October 27, so the National Guard was there immediately.

Inappropriate music for a tragedy...
What did you want Celine Dion or something you can cry too? There's nothing wrong with the music.
