Two days ago I tweaked my lower back while putting on a sock, and my toenail got caught in a thread inside the sock! I felt "something" pull too far, like a muscle-rip. Torture to try to straighten up. Still hurts BAD. When I sit for a while and try to stand up, the PAIN is debilitating, and I cannot stand up. Ironically, I have already been nursing my cervical discs for 2 wks (ruptured discs/pinched nerves have come and gone for many years from old injury). I hate being trapped in MRI, so I need to repair this on my own.

I'm a beaten victim of a crime. Most of the hits i got in the head and on the lower back while being on the floor. All though the gym made me stronger, i have a strong back, but still, the beating made it's consequences. Few days after, it did hurt when i was sitting and laying down. I wasn't being able to get out of the bed from pain. Now 10 days +... when i try to cough is a hell, if i try to sneeze, it hurts even more than when this happened to me. I mostly hold the sneeze. Thanks on this great video 👍🏻.

I was running track at the time (sprinter, hurdler) thinking it would go away on its own, which on the most part did. Thanks again for providing how long it should take to recover, I need to be back on the track!

I can't even exercise or even do gentle stretches right now; can hardly walk. Was diagnosed with sciatica 2 yrs ago and spondylolisthesis (lumbar) earlier this year and this may be causing issues. Had lower back pain for yrs. So now I slipped and fell getting out of the shower about 3 weeks ago and started having pain in my lower back pain and tightness in my hips. A few days later i was bed-ridden and in excruciating pain for 2 weeks. I could not move & almost called 911. Laying down was the only relief I got from the pain. My husband couldn't even massage me and he had to bring me food in bed for all that time. Finally I was able to get up and walk around the house without too much pain. This has happened before where my back just freezes up and it's just a nightmare. My dr was able to prescribe a muscle relaxant without an appt. these and anfra red heating pad is the only thing that helped. Will follow up with dr as soon as I'm able to get in a car and drive. SMH. I can't go on like this

Hey Doc! Love your video’s… over a month ago I threw my back out at work, went home early than eventually my wife called the ambulance and we went to the er. I could stand or walk and it hurts to do everything, after a week I felt better and after 2 weeks I sill felt pain but not as bad as before. This weekend I went to my farm to do some work (bad idea!) because my back started hurting bad and this time my left leg went a bit numb! I went to the chiropractor the following Tuesday and mri showed I had a pinched nerve in that area, dr adjusted it and the rest of my back also been doing estim… my left foot is still a bit numb and I still ain’t pitching a tent. Dr told me once the inflammation goes down due to my acute lumbar radiculopathy that the numbness will go away and I’ll be able to salute my wife again, lol. He says I’ll be back to 90% by Friday.. I hope and pray I do! My question is how long does that take? I’ve been using ice about 3 times a day since yesterday now and ibpro for any pain as recommended by the dr and light stretching… please in your expert opinion, how long will it take to heal those inflamed nerves? My big toe on my left foot is still pretty numb and walking adds a bit tightness to the right side of my calf.

Quick question. Idk if I may have sprained or strained my lower back. I was dead-lifting heavy weight and had bad form. I didn't feel anything while doing the movement and was still able to finish the rest of my workout. Later that day I did feel soreness within my lower back and some slight pain. I did the leg raise test to see if I had a herniated disk and felt no pain when going through the exercise. It's been exactly 2 weeks now since this happened and I feel much better compared to the first week. I haven't been working out since the incident but I am still able to walk and move with no pain or tightness. I am hesitant to go to the doctor because of the current situation with COVID. What do you think I should do? Wait a few more weeks until I feel no pain or tightness or go to the doc to get it checked out? I appreciate it!

@@sarahchowdhury3577 Thanks for sharing your advice! I also went to the doctor last week and my doctor said the same thing as well. Also, making sure to take Ibuprofen can help with inflammation and the pain. After some more research I found that turmeric is a good organic way to help with inflammation.

Her injury part was something of her back liner (cushioning, soft part) was out and leaving her in very hard pain which the pain had led to her entire right leg to have cramps every single night. I rub my moms legs and back body every night before bed so she wouldn’t have cramps. My grandpa is very sick and she even takes care of him everyday by cleaning the house everyday, making him special kind of food everyday. i just really wanna cure her back.

I've pulled a back muscle last weekend. It still hurts to the point of having severe back spasms. My doctor said it could take 5-6 weeks but others have said it could take months. I do try to do the exercises but it's too painful. I walk when I can but my house has stairs and I go to college (not university. I'm in the UK) twice a week. I am having a hot bath once a week but normally take showers. I pulled my back when doing my routine workouts which are squats and push ups. I sleep in a foetal position at night. Anyway. At what week does it normally start to feel better?. I will book an appointment with my chiropractic clinic as well. I like to be mobile but i. Know that it won't be healed overnight. xx

Eighth grade during track and field tryouts I was doing hurdles and fell on the third or the last hurdle and fell down and when I got up, my lower back was miserably hurting, sitting down and sitting up, bending down and those stuff was a massive struggle to do as something in my lower back may have either dislocated or the disc inside my lower spine may have broken. Ever since then I rarely do hurdles because I always think about what I did to my lower back couple years ago and that’s how I didn’t make the track team

I know this is not the place, but I highly doubt any doctors would be able to diagnose me without a bunch of exams, a lot of $$$$ and even then they would make guesses at most.
Did I have a small spinal cord injury or not? Here's a brief record of the symptons in chronological order:
    - I live a sedentary lifestyle for years, working from home, barely leaving the home. I go out carrying some shopping bags from the supermarket (22 pounds on each hand, 10 kilos each side)
    - I arrive home, after 6 hours my back slightly hurts, I rest, I felt this before and it lasted for 3 days so I should had paid more attention to it as a warning sign...
    - 3 days later, out of the blue, sudden fever, feeling super weak, wake up the next day a big part of my lungs feel like they're compromised (can't pull air in except small amounts) and everytime I try to stand up the breathing shortages intensify (a 30 second walk to the bathroom felt like I was going to die out of breath, had to come back to the bed and lie down to breathe... during this period I noticed that if I kept myself slightly curved - instead of walking straight - would help with being able to breathe more air so I could have more time walking)
    - probably musculature on my back is too weak and causes the breathing problem? that would be one diagnosis, but then would it also explain the other symptons below? that's the puzzle I'm trying to figure out...
    - couldn't feel the taste of food or water, compounded by a feeling of "bad" taste in the mouth, it felt like a taste of metal in the mouth... plain water tasted like crap, so I started hydrating myself with instant juice, at least that didn't taste horrid... no caffeine intake for the 1st week
    - the breathing got back to normal after 1 week (full lung capacity, no feelings of breath shortage anymore)
    - another sympton: during all this time I felt like my brain was super "slow", even watching videos on youtube to passtime or watching TV scenes with too much motion felt overwhelming, I couldn't follow what was going on (that sympton got better after 2 weeks) A muscular problem would cause neurological problems? That's why I suspect it has to do something with the spine.
    - another mystery: during no point this entire time I actually felt pain in the back, not even when curving forward (I had an easier time walking curved like I mentioned... and at no time I wasn't able to squat, even during the 1st week)
    - it's been 1 month now...
    - no breathing problems after 1 week, brain "slowness" gone away after 2 weeks, started feeling the taste of food and plain water after 2 weeks... 3rd week I didn't feel any major improvement besides being able to tell if the room is cold or hot (I wasn't able to tell before)
    - now it's the 4th week, nothing feels different besides the fact I can spend a little more time standing up before feeling tired, and I don't need to curve while walking anymore... I still feel like my right leg is more numb than the left, sudden motions of turning cause slight dizziness I avoid them, walking very slowly...
    - I have no idea what happened... did I have some sort of spinal cord injury from a cracked lower back disk maybe? I never imagined the body could become this weak? scary?
But anyway thanks for stopping by whoever read all this... take care of yourselves, don't make the same mistake as me, take a walk at least once a week, I wasn't doing even that since my wife took care of most of the food shopping, our bodies are surprisingly fragile, I'm terrified, and the scarier thing is that I'm only 32, wow

Stretching is a relief and I am in most amount of pain when I wake up in the morning. Hot balms provide some relief and stretching helped me reduce the pain. @Shubh Kaur If increased activity level makes ur back better then we're on the same page and u'll be fine just give it some time. Walk run do bodyweight exercises anything you like brother and cheer up. And yes I feel positive about lifting heavy in the gym again when it reopens.

@Shubh Kaur I didn't get an x-ray as I started to feel better by stretching and with time I am close to normal now.

I've also injured my lower back due to the same reason 😢
Are you well now? And how much time did it take to recover?

Thanks for your video. I have chronic lower right back pain. I was in a sitting position (top of stair case) leaned forward & down with a twist and tried to lift a heavy sofa. Instant pain and couldn’t walk without leaning for a while. This was many years ago. I have since seeked physio and stretching, but it never gets “better”. I often get dizzy spells after sitting for long periods concentrating from that spot. Have you ever seen anything similar? It feels like the low back is so weak when bending forward now and my left hip shoots out slightly. Could an adjustment fix this?

I usually let it recover with over-the-counter medicines. But… If I get the lower back pain with spasms, I found it just going with a steroid pack knocks it right out. I tried not using steroids with the spasms, it took over two weeks for it to heal. After the first or second pill, it was exponentially better. It may not be for everybody, but it worked for me. It seems like I can lift things for months and then one time, now my back is killing me.

I fell flat on my backside skating in February. The whole lower backed was badly bruised afterwards. Its still bruised today and the lower back pain won’t shift. Its healed about 80% but seems to have stopped healing further. Any tips please?
