You can be an excellent American History teacher with all of the knowledge you've accumulated on your travels...by the way love the close ups on the meals you guys enjoy...this makes it a sure success watching your videos before visiting...for me a good meal in a unique restaurant makes the vacation experience perfect 👌
Very Interesting. The Arch was magnificent. The sunset was beautiful. The next time I am in St.Louis I will definitely go to the Arch and the Historical Courthouse. Thank you for providing this Historical sites of St Louis. Well done.
I’ve been using Bright cellars for over a year I’m on my 6th box. I’ve like most of the wines, one of my boxes had one broken bottle I contacted customer service they got back to me within a day and sent an extra bottle in my next order. I’m very pleased with customer service as well as the wines! 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷🥳
St. Louis was really made interesting in this episode, and seeing so many different visual perspectives helps in appreciating a city that has definitely had its fair share of bad luck. There is always a nugget of goodness that you seem to find in every city that you visit, which makes it easy to invite people to take a fresh look and perhaps for the first time, have an open mind about places that may not have the best reputations. Time and time again, there is always a perfect balance between the story, the visuals and the history that locks in my attention span, which more often than not tends to wander when watching travel videos. The investment of time and $$ into doing things like the tours and the helicopter ride are noticed and valued, and the adventure of Lewis and Clark makes it worth it to come back every Sunday. Thanks again, as always.🙂
Thank you for coming here, I hate I missed coming to where you were. I live here in St Charles very close to the casino. Your videos have enabled me to see places I'd never see otherwise. I pray you ''ll safe travels. You are appreciated. P.s get that cowboy hat!!
Thank you Robert for coming back beside the great job you do, I appreciate when RVer,s come to St Louis and realize what St Louis and surrounding area has to offer of which most are amaze after they been here, from a part timer RVer thanks again, your a humble man 👍
This was a very informative and fun video, we are not too far from there, western suburbs of Chicago, we haven't gone to the top of the arch so it was fun to see you both go up, thumbs up 🙂
Oh how I loved St. Louis!! I have been waiting for this episode, we spent 3 days here in May and loved every moment...well except for the tornado warning lol We did the riverboat tour as well and really enjoyed it, about 15 minutes after the tour the tornado warning came. The Hill was great, and the Arch was fascinating! The Visitor Center there was very impressive. St. Louis is a food lovers paradise, by far my favorite city in the US thus far. Thanks for a great episode Robert!
I getting claustrophobic just watching the arc visit!!! I hate I'm this way. I have to take elevators everywhere. It limits my exploring. But what a trip this looks like. Happy travels Robert and your wife.
Well you really covered all bases on this tour , land ,air and water. I liked the helicopter ride when you flew over the beautiful gardens. Thanks Robert!
Despite the Mess-issippi River it all remains a beautiful city. The Arch inside and out looks the same as when I went up in * cough * 1984... sans visitor center back then - another episode well done.
Mornin', Robert! Thanks for the tour of St Louis. I passed through 20 years ago on a Rt 66 trip and only had time to ride to the top of the arch. When I was there the river was in flood stage and the water was up to the edge of the riverside walk. Wow, that shot of the fish in the Japanese Garden -- those things must be huge! As always, watching your videos gives me the urge to go back to those places and see what I missed. Happy trails!
I was in StL two days ago and it was difficult to get to the arch. We've been there plenty of times but this time it was harder. Looking forward to the next time.
(Laugh!!!) I went through St. Louis several years ago, and saw the fountain from a distance. We didn't know that it was a fountain, and wondered what it was, and if there had been some sort of breakdown of the water system in the city. Now I know - and appreciate it. You can see both the arch and the fountain from a LONG ways away! I'm looking forward to seeing your section on the historic, especially on Cahokia. I'm Muskogee - descendant of the "Southern Cult" which was part of the Mississippian culture, plus I'm an archaeologist and quite familiar with it - I'd studied what is available in my classes and remember what elders had said about it. I've also read some about the Lewis and Clark expedition and am enjoying this series.
Robert we‘ve missed each other in StL for 3 days 😢 did you see the William Clark star on StL Walk of Fame? Thx for this beautiful video, we have learned to appreciate StL so much 😊 Greetings from Germany, Thomas and Silke
Great video as always, love the urban tours, you do them better than anyone. The new Gopros take great video but overheat easily and need to be rebooted a lot, and it's a PITA to take it out of the media mod to pull the battery in order to do it.
Seeing the landscape from a pusher tug is a different perspective. I was lucky enough to have worked for a shipping company on the Danube river here in Europe and got to spend 7 days on one, including going through locks, much smaller setup though, we would do 2x2 barges, the Mississippi setups are up to 5 x 8 barges. Would love to spend a couple of days one of those, the huge tugs have a lot of real estate available. Great memories
I recommend doing the metro app the next time you are in STL. You can buy a all day pass and you can hop on and off all day, and the app also has live update of busses and light rail arrivals and departs
Next time you are back in Louisville you should do a Belle of Louisville cruise on the Ohio River, if you’ve not done that before. The paddle wheel on the Belle is more than just for looks.
About 20yrs ago I went from Phoenix to NE Ohio on a Greyhound and had to change busses in Stl. The driver warned us not to leave the station because of the high crime rate in the area.
You said the GoPro is so undependable. On my GoPro a lot of footage won't show up when I transfer it to a hard drive. On the cloud it's there, but it doesn't show me on the sd card. Some footage seems to be lost completely. Do you have the same problem with the GoPro?
@@TravelingRobert Freezing also happens to me and I have to pull the battery out. But I noticed only recently that it omits clips that only show up on the cloud. Never had that issue before.
Look into a DJI Osmo Action 1 or 2...wayyyyy more reliable than GoPro. They make great drones, why not buy their camera? DJI really has it all figured out!
Ok it is official. GoPro cameras hate St. Louis. Our GoPro died just after we came down from going up in the Arch. The SD card error fault occrued and corrupted the SD Card. Yep lost 2 days of footage.
Once again, 7 ads (in addition to a promotional ad) in 44 minutes, including the first one in the middle of your intro some 30 seconds into the video! Plus two ads and your promotional ad within the first seven minutes! Comes down to an ad every 5 1/2 minutes. Not how it used to be. Ugh!
My man. You flew right over my house, as I live really close to the botanical garden. Funny I've lived here for years and never knew about that geyser, but I rarely cross over into Illinois.

Anytime I need a break from the garbage in this world it’s Roberts theme song that is the pick me up and the adventures. Thankyou sir
We will have to add St. Louis to our travel plans. Thanks for the great video.
Every instant of the video was a joy to watch!! Thank you Robert!!
You had a perfect day for a helicopter tour. Clear skies. As a St. Louis native I’ve never done the tour, was super cool to see.
Definitely one of my favorite episodes
I know you were in St Louis once before but it is nice to see it again.

Really enjoyed this episode, Robert! Awesome shots of the arch at many points of the video. Loved it!
Thank you for the great video. I definitely want to go to St. Louis and visit the gateway to the arch and the museum etc. thanks again.

21:07 agreed 100% GoPro ALWAYS fail when you need them most. Great Video Robert as usual
Loving the coverage of that arch.
Saint Louis is a very beautiful city. The Arch is its symbol. Congrats..... and see you on the road...>>>
Well you really covered all bases on this tour , land ,air and water. I liked the helicopter ride when you flew over the beautiful gardens. Thanks Robert!

excellent overview of what appears to be a beautiful city. It is on our list for sure. As always, safe travels....

Excellent Robert 👍
we loved it
Great video Robert!
The Arch looked GREAT from the riverboat!!
i remember going on that arch and the bucket ride up was so rickety... lol like some space film from the 50's.
That was some very amazing footage from the air, Robert! You could've had an excellent job as a helicopter camera operator! 😆
Always a good show Robert
great touir of St Louis. was very impressed by the arch. Great photos.
Thanks for your mention to the spanish cooking :)
Good video, good info, thank you!
Really nice episode-Enjoying the L & C Journey 😄🚌🇺🇸

An awesome idea to follow the Lewis and Clark route! I’m looking forward to seeing how the trip develops
Salt N Smoke is so good! Wish they would bring one down here to Texas lol. Awesome video, brought back some great memories from my last time there.

Yes.....The Arch was designed by Finnish architect Eero Saarinen..🙂👍🇫🇮
I recommend doing the metro app the next time you are in STL. You can buy a all day pass and you can hop on and off all day, and the app also has live update of busses and light rail arrivals and departs
Great episode! I’ve been there and traveled the same paths! ❤
Qué ciudad bella.La estoy disfrutando viendo este video.Congrats.Saludos
Good remember st louis🤗
30:10 Watching this on October 18!

Nice Robert 😃
Hello Robert enjoyed the video thankyou say hi to mom.
Went up as a kid in the arch.
About 20yrs ago I went from Phoenix to NE Ohio on a Greyhound and had to change busses in Stl. The driver warned us not to leave the station because of the high crime rate in the area.
Robert have you been to the Coors brewery in Golden Colorado it's really big😎?
Not yet
@@TravelingRobert It is the largest brewery site in the world🤓
I been to the arch in 1985

Sometimes it just freezes at most inappropriate time. I never store anything in the cloud.
@@TravelingRobert Freezing also happens to me and I have to pull the battery out. But I noticed only recently that it omits clips that only show up on the cloud. Never had that issue before.
Robert, was this filmed earlier in the year than October of 2022? What month was it filmed??
Yes. All my videos are a few months behind.
Monkey see monkey do look mommy that monkey has big ears . 😂
Sorry Robert I couldn’t resist
ЛАЙК !!! 😊
the last time you went to st louis was in 2016
Look into a DJI Osmo Action 1 or 2...wayyyyy more reliable than GoPro. They make great drones, why not buy their camera? DJI really has it all figured out!
Osmo Action 3* whoops typo!! 1 is good too.
👍🇺🇸🇺🇸

Must be a curse... well it worked fine after a reset
East St Louis, most dangerous area in the USA....
Is it just me or are the roads in St. Louis badly beaten up??
Some are. I've seen a lot worse.

Could you of put any more commercials in your video. Every 3 or 4 minutes!!! What happened to you
Great video
