One of those few games with a perfect difficulty setting. Not too easy, not too hard. Loved it. Good stuff. It was a challenge, but ultimately doable and once you completed it you felt a sense of achievement.

That’s because Winston was a minor character in the first movie, since his character served as extra help during the Ghosbusters rise and massive workload caused by Gozer during the second half of the movie. It wasn’t until the cartoon series and sequel where he had a more bigger role, hence why you’re able to play as him in the ghostbusters 2 games on NES/Famicom.

Only thing I hate about this game is how whenever you pause it resets the music once you unpause. Made me pause less than I should have because I wanted to hear the music in full.

Never noticed the litte green guy on the snowman's head that gets mealted as well. Remember when I was a kid my friend had big trouble agains the plant boss and after finally defeating, only to meet it again right away in the cave level and get a game over. :P

I was playing this game recently and the ladder won't come down fully (at 35:21) for me. It won't let me proceed to the next area to battle Stay Puft. I don't know why. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Very tough game with unique sound effects. Only won the game 1 time. It's one of the better Ghostbusters games though even if you're mostly fighting ghost monsters instead of ghosts. The likeness to Bill Murray here is good.
I remember this game came packed with some Sega Genesis consoles at least that's how I got mine, I remember the cartridge that contains the game is very heavy 16-bit cartridge. every kid I know when I talk to them told me the game is very hard, one of my friends have told me that I should play it as its a very cool game and there was this one time that I decided to play through the whole game on hard difficulty and I absolutely loved it, back then this game is one of my most favorite genesis game ever. I really wish if they'll release it to modern platforms with trophies support and pack it with life improvement stuff like save state and all of that jazz, but sadly someone out there is preventing this from happening due to license issues to the IP, I believe Sony now own the Ghostbusters IP.
In the 4th building (stay puft Marshmallow), you can keep going out and in after taking money from the safe, takes some time but helps you stock up on loads of items if you're new to the game/would like to have everything ahead of when you need it.
I never beat this game back in the day and now I'm stuck at the high-rise building. The ladder that's supposed to come down after the second ghost isn't working for some reason. EDIT: Figured it out, somehow it worked after I used a continue
I’m stuck here too and I used several continues. It only comes down half way and it’s doing this on my genesis and analogue mega sg. I wonder if my cart is failing. It works sometimes but more often then not it doesn’t load the ladder. 😢

Wooooow the first game I got with my megradrive!! (apart sonic of course which came with it). I used to finish it too! Nice long game, no? I'm seeing in the suggestions that most are shorter and there are quite a few that are bigger but mostly they're shorter timed to finish.

This is my 3rd favorite. Slightly below new Ghostbusters 2. But both are way behind the 2009 Ghostbusters the video game. That game is a masterpiece.
