Hi from Japan. Bro this video is amazing! It’s so fun to watch and I really enjoyed it. This kind of content is one of a kind and I’m already excited for the next episodes.
After you re-crowned those frets. Did you check to see if the frets were level? In my experience when you only work over a couple you mess up the level. Never thought of using an emery board to take off the sharp edges. I have been known to use Murphy oil soap to clean rose wood and ebony fret boards,
About 2 thirds of the way through I realised that 1. This video has under 500 views 2. You’re somehow not like a 5k sub channel despite great production value! Big fan of the hosts too, hoping for much more of this.
I’m so insanely happy to see someone focus on the playability of a guitar when upgrading it, and doing it on a budget.
Simple, straightforward... very nice.
17:24 You go to install the string tree, say "string tree", then show a saddle from the bridge as b-roll.
Excited for part 2!
It’s on the way!

Wow, Thank You! There will be plenty more!
I've seen plenty of cxs guitars. I think they came out of the Johnson/AXL factory
Thanks for the info! We did some research and found it came in a starter kit so the head stock wasn't labeled
All the big guitar companies charge $1000 for instruments that cost $200 to make every day of the week😂
I thought you played drums, Karl?
Even more reason to believe working on guitars isn’t scary - a drummer can do it!
I do play guitar too, just not particularly well….
Does Karl have a channel or ig?
His ig is @albumkarlclub
can you link to the tuners used?
I just added the parts list to the description!
