Peter Jackson can claim this song isn't about Frodo all he wants. But, to me, it will always be about Frodo sailing off into the Undying Lands. God, tears.

If it isn't about Frodo....then who would it be about?
Only other one I can think of is that it could be about Aragorn and Arwen about 200+ years later, where it would be abour Aragorn dying......but it would be a bit strange, considering the movie doesn't go into much detail as to what happens to those 2.....
(*spoiler*: It ends in a beautiful, yet extremely tragic way, where Arwen ends up grieving for Aragon for hundreds of years, al by herself in the Woods that the Elves left behind. Until nobody ever hears of her again.
to me it's about all of them but it's one of my favourite parts when Gandalf is trying to lift Pippin up (metaphorically) during the Battle of Gondor because he basically sings the feckin song
we played this song yesterday morning as we held our 16 year old kitty and sent his spirit peacefully to a place where he wouldn't feel anymore pain and get to spend every day happily in the sunshine :'( your interpretation will forever be a huge part of my life because of that moment :'( thank you so very much for recording this, please know that your music is deeply appreciated and gave all of us healing in the final moments one of the most special kitties ever to walk this Earth

This is really beautiful. You've given it a wondrously courageous sound - the left hand bass notes presenting an inevitable unknown and your right treble hand answering the challenge with noble strength. Exquisite.

now this was a really really good cover, now i just have to go listen to the original. Brings back fond memories.
Exceptional, not all the glits and Glamour of Radnick sitting on piano's, but often like this song fairly simple compositions and arraignments are far more beautiful. The melody on this song is beautiful and moving, I can hear Annie singing along with you. Well done!

On December 3rd 2021 I had to put my dog to sleep. I played this song while they gave her the second shot.
When I leave this “realm” I wish to hear this music as I pass into whatever awaits us be it paradise or nothing.
