If ever there was anything that was typical of JD/NO, it was setting to achieve a goal and then ending up with the complete opposite. They wanted to record a punk rock album and ended up with Unknown Pleasure. They wanted a song that could play itself during encores and instead created an 8 minute track with so many different layers that was almost impossible to render live decently with the technology of the time.
Man, I know nothing about electronic music but I found a electronic song randomly on a short here on UA-cam. After hearing it I went on the hunt for it. Turns out it's a Russian guy but it's just mesmerizing. It's less then 2 minutes long but I've also found a one hour loop of it, and I like the speed up version. Check out Øneheart- Snowfall. It's amazing
I’ll check it out! There was a super dark one I stumbled upon a few weeks ago as well that hooked me. Kinda electronic and a bit gothic as well, also from a Russian artist
@@AndyFenstermaker very well may be that we're talking about the same song lol. Wouldn't that be a trip?!?! Yeah Øneheart- Snowfall is somewhat a dark jam, but at the same time very mystical and mesmerizing. I attempted to find it on vinyl right away but no such luck☹
@@AndyFenstermaker I like the one you mentioned too! I was very hesitant, don't know why but actually was surprised bro. Sweet! Also, that Øneheart- Snowfall has a speed up version and it makes a difference to me. Check out the speed up version, the slowed down version as well. All of them are very chill
Next, dig into the weird story of how alt rock pioneers R.E.M. got their sound: ua-cam.com/video/KGd0rUxDuLE/v-deo.html
This was so well produced that I assumed you had hundreds of thousands of followers. Subscribed. Nice work.
@@foilmajestic1168 awe thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! New ones from this series go up every Sunday…
Great stuff! Question - You had mentioned the hard times IG , in one
of your videos, were you talking about the hard times punk news? Thanks!
@@RyanWalsh-z9c I think that was a community post, and yes I believe I was! I think the Instagram handle is thehardtimesnews…
@@AndyFenstermaker thank you for the reply and info :)

Oh I like this! Very chill. The one I found was less electronic than I thought; more post punk. Молчат Дома (Molchat Doma) - Клетка (Cage).
