Hey man, you mentioned in this video about wanting your life back and wanting to be able to have a few drinks with friends and be able to breathe the next morning. That is how I was every morning with alcohol and now since January I suspect its a hiatal hernia bad that it got to the point where one beer would make me short of breath and now I don't even attempt because of heartburn and SOB. the hardest part for me is getting diagnosis. I have an endoflip coming up soon. Are you able to drink now? Smoking would be a big no no for me as well. You just sound very similar to me with the globus throat feeling as well. I have a gas that comes up and feels weird in my throat then instantly makes me dizzy
@@DF__1900 Yea I drink some once every two weeks or three weeks. Not often. Sorry to hear brother. It’s a very hard thing to go through and I feel your pain.
I'm sorry you're going through this, I also have reflux with inflammation of the esophagus, a lot of mucus and coughing after eating makes my days difficult. I was also offered the operation because I wanted it but I haven't had it done yet. I've only had symptoms for half a year, but they're pretty bad and can't be compared to how I was last year. I don't know how I will decide yet, but I am very much inclined towards surgery, and I was also offered the toupee in the end. Seeing your case, I'm a little afraid, I've tried everything, diet medicine, but I don't want to suffer with this for years. I am now 38 years old and I don't know what to do, is it worth it or should I wait for the years to get worse, unfortunately I searched everywhere but no one was completely cured from Reflux, some from the linx, some from the toupet and some got better from the nissen or the stretta, but no one got better that he waited and dieted or took ppi for decades.
Hey man, keep it up. I've had the Linx surgery and it's not working out so I'm looking to get the toupet. Best of luck, reflux is a real bear. Just so you know, fundoplication is pronounced like Fundo-Ply-Cation 👍🏻
Appreciate that brother. I am honestly feeling way better since this video. I’m gonna make an update soon. How long ago was your linx? Feel free to reach out to me. Take care.
@@TheBounceBack1996 I had a Linx and hiatal hernia repair in June of 2021. Took about 9 months for all the reflux symptoms to fully subside and lasted for like a year and a half and now I'm experiencing them again so I'm looking to get it out and get and have a toupet done.
O yea you can't burp no more ever the nissen fundoplication is supposed to stop acid from coming up but it also stops your burps ..you will burp but very tiny burps . I had one done 2 months ago
@@RahumanSafvana it depends on your definition of normal to be honest. And also if you’re talking about pain wise from the surgery or are talking about the symptoms in and of itself.
@ Your doctor should go over all that with you but for me the pain went away after 2 weeks for the most part. However i couldn’t walk upright with a good posture for much longer and it would hurt and feel uncomfortable where the wrap was if I did for about a month or so after. But most of the pain went away after two weeks.

@@gageokonski1851 oh ok nice. That’s good to hear that they subsided eventually even if they came back. That tells me there is hope haha.
