    I just love how you look at a cake and can see the final picture. I never would have thought of putting the piece of sugar paste to bring out her nose without having to carve it into the cake. You are a genius. Thank you for sharing and keep on caking 💜🍒🍒

    Super cute. I remember some years ago in my parents house these almighty screams coming from our miniature Jack Russell in the garden. It had gone dark and unable to find a torch, dad and I rolled up some newspaper and lit them and ran down the garden. There was our dog, going up to a hedgehog and poking it with his nose and paws getting spiked but stupidly repeating the poking. We had to pull several quills out of the poor stupid thing. Thankfully there was no sign of the wee beast the following day. If my dad was still alive I would have loved to make him this cake as a reminder of that night.

    That's a great cake ! Is Sugarpaste the same thing as fondant which I would buy from Asda ?

    • @Cherrycakeco
      @Cherrycakeco  3 місяці тому

      Thank you.
      Yes! Sugarpaste is the UK term, and fondant is what they call it in the US. Supermarkets here will usually call it 'ready to roll icing' x

    Really cute ! Can I be nosey and ask, what do you do with sugar paste that’s peeled off and covered with buttercream ? 🥴

    • @Cherrycakeco
      @Cherrycakeco  4 місяці тому +1

      Thank you! You can scrape the buttercream/very top layer of paste off with a knife and just scrunch it back up into a ball of paste :D x
