I grew up in Scotland, in my early 20s listening to Evie. Thank you God ! 😊
It has taken me 40 years to find this song! This was my great grandmother’s favorite song that was played on Moody radio back in Chicago in the early 80s. She went to be with the Lord in 1983 at the age of 90. I heard this played on Moody radio ONCE and it stuck with me all these years. I wanted to find the song and sing it to my grandma many years later as a surprise because she loved it too but never knew the name or who sang it. Even as a little girl, I could hear the melody and remembered the words “Unfailing love …. (Dah dah dah dah- couldn’t remember the words) …. I almost can’t believe its true - unfailing love - and yet I know” ….that’s all I remembered. Had the melody and a handful of words.
Back in college I even tried to find it with my music teacher - I was humming the melody to her and she had never heard of it. She looked up in her limited resources to try and help me find the song but the internet wasn’t around then and UA-cam didn’t exist. It always haunted me I could never find the song.
Tonight I’m sitting talking with the Lord and He gave me the idea to look it up again. That handful of lyrics led me to Evie’s song. When I hit play, the first 3 notes told me this was the right song!!! And my subconscious sang every word out loud as the song played - as if I knew the words all these years. I heard it once back in 1983 and my spirit remembered it even though my mind couldn’t remember.

Even though my great grandma and grandmother are in heaven with the Lord - and I can’t sing it for either one of them - I’ll now have this embedded in my heart to walk around my house singing it to the Lord. :)
In my early days in college, I turn on the radio and I didn't know who sang and I just sang the song not knowing the artist, for the song stood out above the others! Praise the L-RD G-d of Israel! Only recently, I found out that the artist was Evie! G-d bless Evie and you all! Amen.
You and I both as a little child in Chicago,I’d listen to this every morning in my way to school . Loved it then ❤❤❤❤❤the words are the same but the reality is more poignant as an adult.

I really enjoyed that story and I so happy you found your song. Please don’t be offended, but technically those who are going to heaven are not there yet. They are resting in the grave until the second coming of a Jesus according to 1 Thes 4:16 when he will resurrect them and then take them to heaven. 😊

I grew up listening to this album. During my childhood I just loved songs from this album and I kept listening to them. I just never got tired of the songs from this album. Somehow I felt God's presence through listening to them. I was so blessed. May God bless her, her husband, the whole family and their ministry

My daughter and I sang this song at church one Sunday morning. That's one of my fondest memories of her. She broke my heart by doing some awful things and then blaming someone who was innocent. She still lies today to protect her secrets. We haven't been close for many years but I still listen to this song and recall that one time when we were close.
Evie's songs need to be introduced to the millenial generation Z. Hoping that they will infuse that sweet Presence of the Spirit into this generation and inspire the songwriters to write simple but deeply meaningful and beautiful songs for the Lord. In my experience, it is rare to find simple but deep and beautiful songs like these in the contemporary praise&worship stream.
After all these years, this song is still so wonderful.....

One of my favourite songs in the early 90s. In those days there was no social media. I used to learn songs through tapes/cds. My twin and I sang this song together so many times. It brought beautiful memories. I will send this song to my sister in the morning. I thank God for 👋 his unfailing 💕. Hallelujah- thank you Jesus.
I have been a loyal fan of Evie since she came on the scene in the 70s as a teenager with the most angelic voice I had ever heard. I have sung a handful of her wonderful songs over the years. In fact, Unfailing Love was the first solo I ever sang, way back in 1983. 😁

@@ceciliabaker5953 I seem to recall that there is an Evie songbook, wouldn’t that be great! I do frequent solo work myself and would sure love to have that book. I am not a pianist but I can usually find someone to accompany me. The music is not new, but IMO this wonderful music is classic!
I became born again in 1982 at 18 and listening to these songs reminds me of that wonderful time and Jesus is more and better than ever through many trials and sorrows He really means it when He promises He will never leave us or forsake us. Our Savior our Friend our God. Merciful and true. Faithful and true. ❤

True classic, I only heard this song sung by a male duo on family radio back in the 80's, when U was just a teen, and loved every time it was played. Back then it was never told who sing the song in family radio. I never knew she sang this song; I love her voice. Thanks for this!

Timeless, precious truth. Beautifully sung, like a pretty bird on a sunny morning. This song shone brightly during some dark times in my life. I still love to absorb it into my soul during times of difficulty, which are often these days... I needed to hear this early hours in the morning and still not asleep because I am feeling hurt and lonely.
It's a long story why and I don't want to tell because of the people who have left me and hurt me deeper than any words can say could be recognised and be hurt by others.
Jesus has taught me to forgive them but I haven't really got over losing them.
This song reminded me of the true living God Jesus Christ has unfailing love which I really needed to know.
Tears fell down my cheeks and I sobbed to him of all my loneliness and hurt but also happy to know of the hope l have that I am His child and He loves me with unfailing love and He is coming to take me home where there is no more pain, loneliness, sin and He will wipe every tear from my eyes.

My old church used to sing this song but not often - this is well over 20 years ago. I looked it up and other songs came up and then I came on UA-cam and saw your post with song and lyrics.
