That last synthetic chord is a work of genious, it leaves it all haunting and all your questions unanswered. It is life itself: we'll face ups and we'll face downs, and yet in the end we won't be satisfied.
There is a problem though when you listen to the deluxe edition of the album cos it won't end just there. Otherwise it is a brilliant way of ending a record.

I'm more a fan of the sixties and early '70s. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Who, The Kinks, The Doors, The Byrds, Velvet Underground, Love, Jimi Hendrix, Simon and Garfunkel, Donovan, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Grateful Dead, Crosby, Stills and Nash, Neil Young, David Bowie, Cat Stevens. But I know Noel knows his history of music. I like the fact he's a great music fan himself. He wrote some great tracks, especially in the '90s. Live Forever, Slide Away, Fade Away, Going Nowhere, Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Champagne Supernova, Talk Tonight, Rocking Chair, Half The World Away, Underneath The Sky, The Masterplan, Acquiesce. He was obviously influenced by The Beatles and other bands of that era. Also The Smiths and The Stone Roses. The 2 best bands of the '80s by far. I think it was good for music when Britpop arrived. Before that it was getting depressing with Grunge taking over. I still like Nevermind, but music needed to change and the likes of Oasis, Blur, Ocean Colour Scene, Cast, Kula Shaker, Stereophonics, Suede, The Verve, Pulp, came along and made music great again for a few years. From the mid to late '90s. Although not as great as the likes of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dylan, The Who, The Kinks and those amazing band's of the sixties, they did bring back the art of great songwriting and performing again. It was like a second 1960s for a time. Since then i think music has gone steadily downhill. Although there are exceptions. The Strokes, The Coral, early Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, The Libertines. They have all produced some great albums, but not as many great bands or albums as the mid til late '90s.

What now Noel. I just can't figure it out. There's gotta be something more to all this and all these years of songs, so many lies in so many songs ( not you). PS. What does " walking in someone else's shoes mean. I will be completely normal by the end of February ie. No opiates, No meds to imitate and on my way to a full recovery so I can start working again and when they operate on my knee I can do the work I should of been doing and save my pennies so I can start writing music as a hobby. That's my 3 month plan. Can someone please tell Noel that I am trying to get my life back together and this is the only way I can do it. Maybe drive taxis once I stop my meds until they replace the miniscusal inside of knee then I can operate the Tower Cranes in London and get out of this 1 horse town... BABY ❤
