I grew up rural farming. Most if my neighbors were good people. There were some that didn't hate but didn't mix. There were also those that hate quietly and those that hate openly. The quiet ones were the worst. You didn't know when they would show up. Cross burnings would happen in a private rally and sometimes in someone of colors yard. They burned in my grandmothers yard when I was 6. She had a heart attack. I can never forget that.

It takes immense courage and strength of character to break away from what you were indoctrinated into from BIRTH. It's one thing to break away when you were indoctrinated as a young adult, but to find your way out of that level of indoctrination when you were born into it is truly courageous.
Clearly Shane is an intelligent guy, you can tell by the way he talks. He also seems to be a seeker of knowledge and truth, and that is what ultimately got him out in the end.

Made the right choice my guy, I got nowhere with that lifestyle, now 20 years later I’m happily married to a Mexican and have to granddaughters that are full mix from white to black and they wouldn’t be those perfect kids without that. Life success shouldn’t be measured with money, cars, square footage. It should be measured with time spent with your kids and grandkids, family. A goof Can make one but it's a 8 year old dog with cancer and most won't want to help and you will catch flack for not being able to take care of your pets and they would question if you should even own one if you can't take care for it.
