Sephiroth is an AI-controlled temporary party member during the flashback sequence of the Nibelheim Incident. He has Physical, Magical and Status Immunity so cannot take damage in battle, cannot be healed with restorative spells and cannot be inflicted with status effects (unless you change the accessory), and will not lose MP in any scenario due to a special script. He has no Limit Break and his Limit meter will not charge since he cannot take damage.
His Materia are mastered Revive, Restore, Earth paired with All, Fire, Ice paired with All, and Lighting paired with All. His weapon has perfect accuracy (255%) and his weapon attacks are always critical.
If Cloud falls, Sephiroth sometimes revives him with Life2.
Thanks to the Debug Room Warping Glitch you can make Sephiroth join your party, but there is a problem, you cant change his armor and accesory. To fix that problem you need to use the yuffie warp glitch and go to a save where you dont have Vincent in your team yet. In the Debug Room we gotta recruit Sephiroth and Vincent. With Vincent you can change the armor and accesory to Sephiroth and also increase his stats with sources (you cant do it directly with Sephiroth).
Vincent occupies the same party slot as Sephiroth does for the flashback (the same happens with Cait Sith and Young Cloud). The game only properly updates the slot during the character naming screen, so he will nor function correctly if this is bypassed when adding him to the party by non-standard means.

• Independent materia: MP Plus, HP Plus, Speed Plus, Magic Plus, Luck Plus, EXP Plus, Gil Plus, Enemy Away, Enemy Lure, Chocobo Lure, Pre-Emptive, Cover, Underwater, HP-MP.
• Support Materia: All, MP Turbo, Elemental, Added Effect, Quadra Magic.
Note: All, MP Turbo and Quadra Magic only work if linked with Fire, Ice, Lighting or Earth materia. Elemental and Added Effect can be linked with any compatible materia.

I knew you could use the save game editor program a long time ago to get Sephiroth but I never new you could use the debug room glitch to get him. Kinda cool between that and lucky 7s that even after beating both the ps1 and pc versions about 10 times each there are still things I don’t know about.

Nah, consoles are too powerful now for turn based gameplay.. the current system in the remake I think is spot on.. if you like turn based though, give DFFOO on mobile a shot!
64 continuous strikes for 7777
Because it was originally made for the 64 but the scope of the game was too big for the 64 cartridge so it was moved to the Playstation
Honestly we need more games where you can control sephiroth...
Ehrgeiz for PS1 was the first that I know of.

I though that when you use thr lucky 7777 thing, when finished dealing all the hits, the character hp felt to 1 hp...

Awesome video, never seen the lucky 7's and the tactics for this battle is wonderful,personally never beat emerald or ruby weapon, but have to say real cool 😎😎😎.
Yeah I have never seen Sepheroth as a part member other thank tye Nibelhiem part... clearly a rom hack and honestly not that amazing since you can make it do anything you want.

Took me for ever to beat ruby weapon until I cast hades on him and learned it stopped him. Emerald I think I had maxxed mime and nights of the round lol. Just takes time man. Level up in that sunken ship/ submarine place using weapons that multiply meteria growth.

I don't know what's the funnier. Sephiroth fighting Emerald or Sephiroth at 7777HP. Too bad that Emerald absorbs Ice.
So this confirms that even a damage overflow can do nothing against the invulnerability. I think that's also true with Peerless from Planet Protector and Great Gospel.
Sprint Shoes on Sephiroth is a good optimization.
On Barret, the Sprint Shoes too, or a Ribbon / Peace Ring can be helpful: they prevent the loss of Sadness / Fury when the character dies.

It must work by inflicting Fury on death if the character is Sad, or vice-versa.
The more logical thing to do would be to cure Fury or Sadness if the character becomes immune, but this game is patched together with tape.
@@KopperNeoman That's not about Fury / Sadness nor Haste / Slow, it's a more general thing: this is because status immunity in the VII prevents not only adding a status but also removing / toggling it.
Death normally "cures" the other statuses (except Mini and Frog). But if you're immune against a status, then even Death can't cure it.
Note also that Fury and Sadness don't exactly work like Haste and Slow: Haste and Slow directly replace each other, while Fury and Sadness cancel each other. For example if you have Sadness, you need 2 Hypers to get Fury instead.
But yes, the game is patched together with tape. xD
Sephiroth is a totally uninteresting character to play since he lives only virtually in Cloud's mind so he is too godly.

If we are using glitches usually ill w-item a good number of megalixers to last the fight. Then with all 3 characters have exactly 2 materia usually hp plus to max hp to 9999. Every time he does air etam dealing 2222 damage ill get lucky 7s. Heal back up and do it again, finished him off quickly.
You can trigger All lucky 7s only once per battle.
@@KFCPhantasm pretty sure ive had the attacks multiple times, i thought it was once per character so you could do it multiple times. The wiki also states each character can go into the barrage of hits once per battle. Still if true its quite easy for 2 or all 3 to hit at the same time to only give you one chance at it.
wait - I'm confused. Sephiroth is in the party? man, and I thought I was confused after playing FFVII Remake without having played the original ... but now ... man. Why didn't they just come out with the game in ... as one game!?!?!
Sephiroth is only in your party during flaskback and you can't control him. The one you see in this video is a file save mod.

@Living Legend ahhh OK! Yeah, my bad. I only had lucky 7s a couple of times by accident. Didn't chase it too much after killing weak enemies in a hit or 2. Did not know it hits 64 times.
Be grateful this game was released when it was. This game, made today, would have had sephiroth as a DLC release and the golden saucer would have been based on a subscription.

You could glitch Sephiroth into your game on the ps1 too you could use cheat device's to enter the debug rooms and find it. You can't control Sephiroth though he's programmed as automatic.
I did this with ff8 on ps1 and had Seifer during my whole gameplay, Was class!
But he was hidden when it came to cut scenes and story plots..😂

Then one morning I got on before school and rammed my submarine into it, only finding a big battle i never beat. Many tries then go the underwater materia. Ruby weapon is a Bitch. Like weak sauce.

All three will go into lucky 7s mode and attack non stop until he's dead, I've done it. not sure what that guys talking about lol

You can't kill the emerald only with lucky 7. Either it's one or 3 characters

@@monibrahman3141 Yeah I was aware of this. What I was concerned about was the fact that Sephiroth's attack had the original slash audio instead of the gunshot. And if I understood your earlier comment correctly, if you haven't unlocked Vincent and glitched Sephiroth into the game, you get the slash instead of the gunshot.

Can someone please explain to an old man why this is happening? I never knew about this stuff and I beat ruby and emerald a couple years after the game came out without this technique. I am so confused why he keeps attacking
having 7777 health makes your characters do 7777 damage constantly

@@skylarmathison1481 it's called lucky 7, when a character gets 7777 hp, he gets a sort of beserk status (uncontrolable, but still attacking) and attacks continuously (doesn't wait for ATB to fill) doing 7777 dmg each attack, for if i recall correctly 64 times, max.
