    Thank you for this video. I am an experienced peyote beader. I just started using 15/0 seed beads with an intricate pattern. The beads kept slipping around. After many hours, I gave up but, then, I came across your video. I’ll get back to it now. Thank you!!!

    I really like this stitch. I can't get over how easy it is to learn from you, Mani. I commented on another video and learned that due to your failing eyesight, you are no longer making videos. I am so sorry for you and your eyesight. I can relate. My eyesight is getting bad as well, but I will go as long as I can. I'm getting a tad bit old ;) and I also have a disease that is taking it as well. I'm stubborn tho. I'm watching this video late in the evening and so I can't start practice until tomorrow. You mentioned there are many peyote stitches. If I get good at this one, I hope the rest are just as easy. Anyway, I'll move on now. Thank you again for all your past hard work and for leaving the videos up. I don't know what it is about your teaching style, but I've tried to find someone as good as you and I have watched hundreds of videos. I found one out of all of them who is sort of close. Take care. --Carol

    WOW Now that is exactly what I needed!! I was going to buy those cards or pay for a lesson to learn what seemed to be very confusing so called beginner beading stitch! Well I suppose it is an easy stitch to pick up from just reading, if you are not the show me type learner, who really cannot pay attention long enough to the written instructions even if they do have Pictures. It's the ADD in me!!! LMAO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. I will now go and start the simple bracelet I have been wanting to try and make. for a rather long time!!!! 😊

    Great video. I wasn’t having trouble starting the peyote stitch, but this makes the third row much easier to work because the beads are positioned up on the needle & it keeps everything from twisting around. I will definitely try this when I make my next ring. Thanks again, Patty 🧑🏻‍🦳

    • @PatriciaMaund
      @PatriciaMaund 10 місяців тому

      Hi Mani,
      Your technick for starting peyote is a life saver. It makes it so easy to get the third row done because the beads that you need are sitting up on the needle & it keeps everything from twisting around. I have a ring going right now & it was so easy to start I could hardly believe it. Thanks, Patty 🧓

    Totally new to peyote stitch or beading in general. Have watched countless videos. Tried your technique with 8/0 beads. It worked perfectly! I ran out of beads for that bracelet so... until Amazon arrives, began another project with 11/0 beads. Phew! Technique continued to work, but I had to trust the technique because it looked like crap until I had a sizable section woven. Can’t believe the difference the change in sizes made. To be fair, did also switch from Myuki to Czech glass. Those were the only differences. Thanks for taking the time to help us out. Very generous of you!

    What’s the difference between delica,, pony, and regular 11/0’s and pony beads is it just size?

    • @ManieMartinez
      @ManieMartinez  4 роки тому +2

      Yes there is a difference in the shape of the beads. Both pony and Delica are tube beads. They are cut from a long tube (like a straw) so they have bunt cut edges. They are great for bead weaving. Regular seed beads are rounded on the edges and more like a small glass marble with a hole in the middle. Due to the way they are shaped even though you get the same size they will seem like different sizes. I hope this helps

      Manie Martinez can I get all of those from Crazy Crow? I would like to invest about $100-$150 in beads, rhinestones and pearls. I have several findings I bought in bulk from eBay years ago. Is there any way I could get a suggestion list from you. I love the Rosette earrings for beginners the ones that what you see in the front you see in the back! They are having a sale on seed beads, on the 11/0’s and most sizes. They were less than $2.50 a hank, idk which colors to get they have opaque and translucent. I would love some colors for Native American work mostly and also thought about getting into some hair pieces for weddings. So pearls and rhinestones but I didn’t really look at anything but the seed beads. I would love to follow along with your tutorials, with you, as much as possible. I also need beading needles, and beeswax plus your suggestions on what to purchase if anyway possible? Idk a good price from a bad one. I have and tacking thread and several others so that’s not huge I just need the correct beads! I hear blues are very popular but Turquoise is always popular. I have several larger beads but right now I’ve got two plastic containers in Black and Turquoise 8/0’s do you have a project for beginners, using two colors in that size. I have a couple of regular sewing needles that will easily fit thru that size bead. Trying to start a small business and hobby at the same time. Thanks for all your help so far but help me keep up, with your most used beads please? The beads in your projects are beautiful! I also want to learn how to wrap cabochons, if I’m not mistaken I believe you have a video for that I would also like some beads for those. I would love to make one large order with free shipping and go big or stay at home! I also figure if I invest that amount I’d be more likely to actually do it. Thank you so much for your help!

    • @lisalay1265
      @lisalay1265 4 роки тому

      Is there anyway you could put a list of standard materials needed, to follow your work? What would the best beads to buy when starting out? I have two sizes of 11/0s from Walmart, do you have a simple project for something like that I have a lot of the findings, but I’m lost on where I should put my money? Please help me you’re a great artist and love your work!

I can put it on the top of my walking stick after I finish. Thank-you for making this video! I made a mistake and bought a kit without full instructions, just the beads and a pattern for a amulet necklace. Needless to say , I have never beaded. I am sure it is an odd stitch . Watching this video gives me some hope that maybe, just maybe I can learn the basics and then learn the odd stitch and then do my kit. It is made by I bead. com and it is called butterfly garden and it is gorgeous. Just a shame you need to buy the book also to learn how to do everything. I will learn on you-tube. Hugs! :)

    I am just starting out on the peyote stitch.. The starting is what was throwing me off. I can’t even begin to thank you enough. I can’t wait to get in my shop and try this method. I try and watch all your videos because you explain things clearer than any one else I have watched. Thank you very much.

    I always get to the 3rd row and it all falls apart and gets out of pattern

      I understand the first few rows are always tricky. Just watch your tension. Keep it tight. Once you get the third row in and every thing snuggled up tightly you will be off to the races.

    Thanks! This made it so much easier to follow! I'm new to peyote stitch and absolutely love that you called it the "sticky outy" bead 😂

      Glad it was helpful! For me learning was about getting it not being correct, so I figured it might be helpful to teach that way too.
