When you're jigging for walleye do you aim for a certain speed of drift or do you just try and ensure your line is straight up and down at all times? I was admiring drifting side by side watching us catch walleye on worm harnesses at two very different speeds.
When I'm jigging, I don't pay attention to speed, just do whatever I need to to keep the line vertical. When bottom bouncing, I like a speed between 2 and 2.7 mile an hour usually.
