that was wonderful man. Will be getting around to this one after giving some more polish to "Baal t"Shuvah". I'm sure this video will come as a good guide along the way to this beautiful song. Awesome cover on this, so good. thanks.
Hamppzah And this shows that Pete is an awesome guitar-guitar player in the most traditional sense. His normal style is pretty incredible too and it gives this normal playing that little extra something that makes it special too.
Michael put some energy into this song. This is technically correct but it feels y novacaine in an elevator ride. Hedges played with a passion and fire. Sorry.
Petteri Sariola is clearly talented, and works hard at his art. For me, this style doesn't stand out enough to grab my attention. It seems to be complicated patterns for the sake of it. If you look at Candy Rats' artists like Trevor Gordon Hall, or Sergio Altamura - They are captivating from the start. I will listen to this again as it is only my first impression.
I really like Trever and Sergio too, though not when he gets too electrical, but this is my favorite style of playing, I actually haven't listened to much Hedges, but my favorite is Pino Forastiere, because I find him more compelling and discovered him first likewise. Then there's almost everyone else who compose nice contemp acoustic guitar music but it all sounds like it could be on the same album, nothing really stands out other than it just being nice music.
Michael Hedges is so far from beign comaparable to all those you mentioned, in either way, they took some elements from him to compel their oferings a bit of achivement.
Magnifique! Michael is smiling somewhere....
This is the most amazing rendition of this song that I've ever heard. Period.
You should check out Andrew Gorny's version!
@@invis19 That version is nice as well. But the sound quality isnt as good.
One of the most perfect compositions ever in my opinion. And what a fantastic rendition
Magical , thank you for keeping Michaels Work alive . One of a kind

Well done! You are incredibly skilled. Now make it breathe and move more dynamically. You are too soft on it.

do you know who actually michael hedges was?

I think Pete is probably my favorite player. The attitude in his playing is really next level

All I can say is “WHAT?” Complicated patterns for the sake of it? SMH
