The bass player is using Clawhammer, sometimes called frailing, is a distinctive banjo playing style and a common component of American old-time music.
The principal difference between clawhammer style and other styles is the picking direction. Traditional picking styles (classic banjo), including those for folk, bluegrass, and classical guitar, consist of an up-picking motion by the fingers and a down-picking motion by the thumb; this is also the technique used in the Scruggs style for the banjo. Clawhammer picking, by contrast, is primarily a down-picking style. The hand assumes a claw-like shape and the strumming finger is kept fairly stiff, striking the strings by the motion of the hand at the wrist and/or elbow, rather than a flicking motion by the finger. In its most common form on the banjo, only the thumb and middle or index finger are used and the finger always downpicks, hitting the string with the back of the fingernail. By contrast, the thumb rests on the fifth string with the downpick motion, and is often released in a lighter up-pick to create the distinctive clawhammer sound.
In this song he emulates the double bass drum gallop sound; giving it the drive.

It's so nice to see someone react to this who actually appreciates music. I've seen so many people say it's boring because they aren't "showing any emotion" or doing freaking backflips while playing. About the bassist: I think it's actually a form of "slap bass," where you dont use a pick, but rather the thumb and palm of the hand to "slap" the string as you play it.
That gallop sound on the drums? Thank you Iron Maiden! 🤘🔥🤘 And about the drummer's foot technique: I've heard it called "heel-and-toe," as it is the only way to play fast, but also to conserve energy, so you dont get tired out halfway through the song.
And that reaction, hearing Brittney? _Priceless._
Just like almost every other reactor I've ever seen react to Brittney. And dont worry, bud, you're not the first to have that reaction -- I merely see it as an appreciation of very exceptional talent.

The bassist is not slapping, but rather using a kind of fingerstyle playing that's more common with the acoustic guitar. I've never seen anyone play like that on a bass though, using the thumb and two other fingers on one string. The drummer is really mastering a some kind of double strike technique with his feet. It can be heel-toe, although it looks more like the "swivel". Now, I am not a drummer or any kind of expert on this, and it can be a mix of different techniques. Never seen anyone use a technique like that constantly at this kind of tempo either. Very cool!

To explain the bassist plucking technique (which I find really cool as well). What I see him do is this:
You know how some bassists use their index-, middle- and ring-fingers to be able to play faster as using 3 fingers is less taxing on each single one as only using 2? The usual pattern is a "roll" of ring-middle-index-ring-middle-index. Only problem is that it creates a 3-"beat" pattern where often you need 4 "beats" which means "1" moves from one finger to the next each time.
Now what this guy does is add the thumb as a 4th finger and it seems he goes: thumb-ring-middle-index to create a smooth pattern of 4 strokes on each pass. It's quite smart actually, especially since he often plays those really fast 16th-note patterns which is probably much less taxing on the fingers once you get this down well (which needs a lot of work).

The bass player does have incredible technique but let us not forget the incredible foot technique of that drummer. Double stroke consistent 16th rolls at that tempo and that clean & with that endurance is pretty epic. You catch a good glimpse of it at the 6:28 mark

Unleash the Archers is the kind of band where like the stars had to have aligned with these people cuz each one of them is so absolutely amazing at what they're doing that it's like what you said at the start, it's like someone just got a bunch of the best musicians around and threw them in a band together like a super group or something. No single member carries this band, they are all contributing their all and probably my favorite thing about them is if you go back and listen to like 2 songs off each of their albums to get a feel for it, even though their first was great, you can hear that the skills of each member are noticeably sharper on every release.

@Chase Carneson As a musician I liked the breakdown of the package as a whole. Subbed for sure. Long time fan of them. 2 SUGGESTIONS -
    1) As a guitarist, if you want to look at how they put some of their songs together, Andrew Kingsley is "lead" guitar in the band and does some song playthroughs with full tab on his YT channel. Obviously both guitars can play lead incredibly.
    2) to check out the singer specifically - two videos: 1st is her doing a karaoke of Queensryche AFTER playing a full 2 hour show in a pub in Edinburgh. Filmed on a cellphone and still sounds amazing.
2nd is her doing an opera piece (Brindisi) with another metal singer from the band Kings of the Trident. Impeccable.
