It would be nice if paths would be embedded in the map and being able to have multiple paths in one layer, instead of having to make one layer for each enemy path. If you have many rooms with many objects using paths, you end up with so many path assets - it's very unwieldy. Is there going to be an overhaul at some point?
@@toiletbowlmartini That's theoretically possible, it is just that if you want the paths to be level specific, you'd still have to add them all in layers in order to see them in the room and be able to edit them.
Got a small issue when I tried to have multiple tile layers. Idea was I'll have a tile layer as the background, and another tile layer (using the same tileset) as the foreground, on top of the instance layer, for when I need the player to be behind a wall and etc. But when I tried it only the top layer showed and everything below it, including the background layer, became invisible.

@@GameMakerEnginehow do you add rooms to the game?
Well at the point where I run the game for the first time at about 12:30 I just get a background with the purple color on it.

I agree. I always thought it was weird to only be able to have one path per layer. It gets pretty messy to work with if you have a lot of them.
I'm new here. Do you think it would be possible or prudent to add path layers in code, that way you aren't overwhelmed with 100 layers?

Thank you, great job!!
When you tile animate your background sprite, will the part that’s not on the screen anymore be removed?
I still dont understand how to have an object locked with the movement of the camera as an overlay. that seems to be impossible :|

How to access room attributes like width and height after clicking on a layer with new inspector in GM 2023?
You will need to click on the room asset again in the asset browser, and then its properties should show up.
@@GameMakerEngine Hmm, ok, but this seems to the an interface (UX) error for me...
you should take care of people who already bought lifetime versions of gamemaker first 💀
Why, what's the problem? Did I miss any news? Are we at version 3 already?
