can i get the link to order the RAM?
Hello, is the Lenovo Ideapad 3 upgradable like this laptop? Also is it dual channel? Would love help 🙂
it's necessary to disconnect the battery to plug the new module RAM ?
You can do it without doing this, but it is safest to ensure all power sources are disconnected from the machine to avoid accidental damage.
Sir I have upgraded my ideapad s340 with 12 GB RAM but then onwards my laptop shows bluescreen error with a code memory management, please help me as i have tried every possible things such as updating all the drivers and system etc. So I have visited Lenovo website & run hardware diagnostic tool there it shows every test as successful except memory test

Thx you helped me a lot 👍
What version of this laptop are you modding?
I'm thinking of getting the 10 series i5 model, 8gb, 256gb s340.
Would the upgrades and insides be the same?
Great video, very helpful.
Thanks.
I got that model. its super fast. SSD is nvme so super quick
Is it necessary to wear an ESD strap to do these upgrades?
so i haven't upgraded my ram on my lenovo laptop yet (yes, it's the same model) there are 2 ram slots?
There's one stick soldered on and there's one slot available to you.
@@danielkowalsky5725 well i ordered an 8 gb ramstick, cause i only have 4 gb ram on my laptop, and it doesn't perform well
@@danielkowalsky5725 i did upgrade it to 12 gb ram recently
Hi, I have the same laptop ideapad s340-14api. Can I add 16gb in that slot? Or it just supports 8gb per slot?
Yes, 16GB should work fine.
brilliant guide mate thanks so much can i use 2 hardrives in my laptop or only the one ? many thanks
You can fit an M.2 2280 NVMe SSD and a 2.5" SATA HDD or SSD.
@@BrueComputing legend thank you very much
@@BrueComputing one last question any idea if I can put more than a second 4gb ram can I put 8gb in or is it capped?
can i add additional SSD drive and have two hard drives in my laptop? I want to have a second SSD drive just like we can have multiple drives in a desktop machine. Also I am wondering why do we have to disconnect battery in order to add an additional SSD drive? Can I not leave that intact? Thanks.
Hey man can you enlighten me a bit? What screwdriver did you use to unscrew the screws inside the laptop not the back cover like HDD,fans etc.
It's in description
Great! Could you add battery model number in video description ?
Which screwdriver did you use? The nails are so tiny. I was unable to unscrew.
i have the same laptop im looking to upgrade to 16gb is that possible and if so what would you recommend?
What are you using it for?
@@BrueComputing gaming
Honestly, it'll never be good for gaming. What games are you trying to play?
@@BrueComputing gta and fortnite it runs ok fortnite 100 to 65 fps and gta 40 to 36

Hi! How do i connect the sata disk? do i need a sata adapter? where do i connect it? Thank you!
Does anyone have idea if in this model you can plug a 2'5 SSD with an adapter, keeping the HDD?? Thanks
2:08 Shows you how to add a 2.5" HDD or SSD...
Hello, The new ssd M2 is Sata or NVME ?
It appears to be Sata at 5:10. 2 notches is Sata according to this page www.losmejoresdiscosssd.es/discos-ssd-m-2-2242-2260-2280/.
But the link is to a Nvme. I would look inside and count the notches to be sure, the sata won't fit on 1 notch.
Hello, i have a lenovo s340-15api with a ryzen 3 3200u, 8gb of ram and 1tb hdd, can i upgrade to 16gb of ram and add an m2 disk?
Hello, did you upgraded it?🥺
Is it necessary to break dome label to put the ram memory? I dont want to lose the guarantee
Does the ram have to be 2400mhz or can it be 2666mhz?
DDR4-2666 will work fine.
I bought IdeaPad S340-15IML (10th Gen) with CPU-I7 and ram 8GB. Can I upgrade the ram to 12GB or 16GB? what is maximum amout of RAM can my Model support?
@@nicevideo6341 I dont understand it clearly. So I reprhase it again: You mean I can add maximum 8gb Ram in the second slot which not soldered? then it would be altogether 12gb..is that what you mean?
@@mehmederfan9282 I understand that this model supports a maximum of 12gb, so yo can add a 8gb memory to the slot, not more.
Do i have to remove the Battery to upgrade the RAM or can i just put the new ram in and thats it ?
Can you put 16gb ram in it spare slot?
Yes.
@@BrueComputing can you give me a link that proves it?
How many slots are there for RAM ?
Just the 1. There is RAM soldered to the mainboard as well.
@@BrueComputing thanks, I have Lenovo ideapad L340, I want to add one more 8gb RAM, is it possible?
does it only have one slot??
1 x M.2 2280 and 1 x 2.5" SATA
Hello. I want to know how many RAM slots it has.
So this type of lenovo laptop RAM is double channel?
Hi dude, could you please tell me wich memory did you use? Ddr4 sodimm 2400mhz or 2666 mhz? Thank You!
2666
I fitted a DDR4-2666 module, but the 5405U chip won't run it at that speed.
I think cpu can only take 2400 though
