Hi, Helen, thanks so much for supporting Dementia UK.I knew nothing about it until my Mother was diagnosed in 2014. She had worked until she was almost 80, active independant and as stubborn as a mule. The next few years were the worse of our lives. It's a dreadful disease and my heart goes out to anyone going through it. Dementia Uk helped us so much during this period and just to let any of your viewers know, that if they are a Marks and Spencer Sparks member, they can support , Dementia UK, through their, charity donation choice. Enjoy your videos, down to earth, no drama, "oh well whatever"... Lol.
So sorry about your Mum. it's a horrible disease. xx
Hi Helen, Thankyou so much for your coffee morning supporting Dementia Uk. My mum passed away last September she would have been 99 years old I looked after my dear old mum for 10years I managed to keep her in her own house for the duration of her illness with hand picked carers and family the last 12 months have been hard I miss her so much so any help for supporting dementia is fantastic for family and carers. Thankyou Helen for all your effort. 😘 xxxx
I truly am sorry for your loss. I dread the day.
Well done for looking after her too, that's not easy xx
Thank you so much for doing this Helen. My husband was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia a few years ago and just recently has had to go into a nursing home. All our retirement plans were scuppered and now it’s very likely that all our savings will be taken for his care. I’m only 69 and now trying to pick myself up and start having a life without him. I know he wouldn’t want me to be unhappy so I’m determined to live life to the fullest for us both. Love your channel. xx
Just wanted to send you a huge hug xx
Thank you @ruthcadman x
Sending you hugs as my brother in law died from this. Had not heard of this before. ❤
@@louisesmith2035thank you x
Sending you a hug as you try and have a life without your hubby by your side 😢I lost my amazing lovely hubby 2 years ago to cancer he was only 46 I was 64 !! I’m now 66 and it’s so very hard to try and have a future without them . Take care xxx
Congratulations on raising so much for Dementia. I cared for my mom for 7 years 24/7. It was heart breaking to see my mother change so much. In my opinion it's harder for the carer & family, my mother became very violent & aggressive. I wouldn't wish it on any one.
You did a wonderful thing, thank you for sharing. Xx
Well done you. That is so tough.
It's my pleasure xx
My mom is in the beginning stages. It is a tragic disease and I love the way you treat it with such respect to the patients.😊
I'm so sorry about your Mum.
Thank you xx
Hi Helen well done for your efforts in raising a generous amount of money ! I lost my Dad to Alzheimer’s, It was so sad to see this strong man deteriorate and forget who his precious Granddaughter was.
Too sad.
Thank you. xx
Hi Helen, what a truly wonderful, unselfish thing you did, well done! So much work for such a worthy cause! You truly are amazing! Have a beautiful rest of the week! Take really good care, stay well! Lots of love, Kathy x 💖

My pleasure Collette, thank you for watching xx
Well done Helen 👏 I'm sure we all wish we could have been at your fundraiser and sampling those delicious looking goodies! I stayed watching all the way although I'm no baker myself. Had a chuckle when you gave Echo such a look!! 😂 Seriously though thank you Helen and everyone who contributes to Alzheimers research. A cruel disease that robs families twice of their loved ones, once when they're diagnosed and again when they're released from it. I speak from personal family experience after watching two of my sisters suffering with it. ❤ ❤
It's a truly horrible disease. Cruel in the extreme. xx
Hi Helen, I'm a Hel's Belle and just want to say WELL D0NE for raising so much money for dementia, I recently lost a friend to dementia, from diagnosis to losing her was only four years. So thankyou, it's a great video as always, you make everything you do look so easy. Keep doing what you're doing.x
That is so sad, but in a way good that she didn't linger on, as that can be unbearable to witness. xx
Oh Helen what a beautiful thing to have done for dementia Uk. My mum had dementia and it is a terrible illness. I’ve mentioned before that I worked in a dementia unit and loved my job. Good for you Helen. I’m so pleased that you did so well. Thank you for caring.
My pleasure.

What a tremendous achievement Helen. Well done on raising so much money for dementia. Your time and effort that you have put into it is greatly appreciated. I am sure someone, somewhere knows somebody who is suffering with this illness. Well done you. TTFN X

Thanks for another great video Helen and for the links to the recipes too. Congratulations on raising so much for Dementia UK. It's such a good cause. My darling Mum had Alzheimers and it was so heartbreakingly sad witnessing such an able, intelligent, fun and beautiful woman change so tragically. So, thank you so much for donating to such an important and worthy charity. ❤
So sorry about your Mum.

Hi Helen, thank you for raising money for dementia. My mum got diagnosed 5 years ago but it took over 3 years for that diagnosis.
It is such an awful disease. Thankfully my mum still knows who her children are. The thing I miss the most is our shopping days and family holidays. Unfortunately she had to be put in a care home as she is no longer mobile and I miss her so much but treasure the days I see her and all my memories of good times.
I am so very sorry about your Mum, so cruel. xx
Well done Helen, that is a marvellous amount to have raised. I am doing a sponsored knit for Dementia UK. I haven’t knitted for a while since I lost my husband! We lost our dad to dementia 23years ago. They didn’t know so much about it then. Thanks Helen. x
Good luck on the knitting.
Thank you xx
That’s so kind of you to Helen, I hope it all goes well on the day and you raise lots of money for this very worthy cause. 🥰xx

Thanks to your dear mum for her helping you get set up. Your a trouper Helen…very kind and thoughtful. X

Thank you Helen for raising money for Dementia UK. My mum has Alzheimer's. It is one of the most awful illnesses. Her dad and Brother also Alzheimer's. It terrifies me if I forget something or don't remember things. Every day I loose a little bit more of my mum. She is my best friend, and shopping pal. We still manage out occasionally and she lives very much in the moment.
So very sad. I'm sorry.
Thank you xx
Helen you are a legend ❤
Your Hels Belles salute you🫡

Oh Helen bless you. My mum passed in 2016 with vascular dementia. Its a horrible disease. Wish i was nearer to support your coffee mirning, but donate to dementia scotland. Wishing you every success for your coffee mirning. ❤❤❤
Sorry about your Mum, so cruel.
Thank you. xx
A great result on the coffee morning Helen. Your hard work paid off, so thank you for bringing us along for the journey ❤❤
You are so welcome! xx
Well done . My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s about 10 years ago. Luckily for us we got a good consultant who was spot on and got her medications right and reassured us that it was slow progressing. She’s now 91, living her best life with good days and not so good but we are reassured as she is in a good dementia care home who do care about their residents as individuals. The diagnosis is so important but it was a battle with long conversations with social workers but with perseverance and good research we got there. Good care and support is so I important, without it I have seen many families fall apart. Well done again . 🎉
I can understand about your Mum's good and bad days. My eldest sister has just turned 90 and has had Alzheimer's for about 7 years. She was the quiet studious one in the family but on her bad days she can be quite aggressive which is hard to watch because she never had an aggressive bone in her body. On good days her humour is still there which is great. She is getting the best care available at her care home. I just wish the staff at these homes were paid a better salary because it's a really difficult job as I'm sure you know. X
So difficult. My heart goes out to you.
Thank you. xx
Truly horrible, sorry about your sister. xx
Well done Helen. Not only have you raised a lot of money for research into dementia but you will have inspired others too.
Thank you xx

Thank you so much Helen for raising funds for such a worthy cause . I have a very good friend who has this awful disease . Wow ! Helen that is so wonderful ! What a huge amount to raise £740 ! A charity that is so worthy too. Dementia UK and Alzheimer's Society.are both so needed, sadly. What a lot of effort to make such lovely cakes , so well presented and some really wonderful donations for the raffle . When I lost my Mum last year , I asked for no floral tributes but divided the funds raised between Dementia UK Alzheimer's Society and two of Mum's loved animal charities.
