    Hello there, I recently came across this video series. I like it really much. The information on how to make the digital radio work with Tamiya features helped a lot. I just found that only three channels on my radio can be programmed with the dual rate function.

      Yes, typically no radios have dual rates on the throttle channel. Tamiya MFU and MFC units do not need dual rates on this channel so not a problem with Tamiya units. Thank you for watching!

      @@HobbyconceptsLLC Hobbyconcepts-LLC Thanks for that answer, I was wondering about that, because on my KV-1 that I just bought and I am building right now. Both vertical channels seem to be needing the dual rate function. Throttle is to go from idle mode to drive mode and gun elavation has the gun and machine gun on that channel. Now I opened the radio and changed the cables so channel 3 is on one of the horizontal levers. Where I figured I only need one dual rate for the lamps,, which should be linked with turret rotation and the turning channel doesnt need dual rates. Is that different on the Tiger I?

    Would of been great seeing build the brass fenders. Never see any of the work done!

      I have a separate video on bending and soldering the fenders just about ready to upload. Should get it up today. Bob

    Awesome, Bob! I was going into withdrawals waiting for the next step. Worth the wait, though.

    Thanks for the video and tips. I have one of these kits that's still in box waiting for when I have some time.
    Any chance you can list all of the PE and other custom parts you used and possibly where to buy them?

      He mentioned it in the video, can't you search it yourself?

    • @Dan-nj7tr
      @Dan-nj7tr 5 років тому

      For example search "Photo-etch Engine Grills Tamiya King Tiger 1/16" or just "Grill Tamiya King Tiger 1/16" on google/E-bay, the barrel/muzzle brake he mentioned is from Stellamodels, it's an online model store in HK. Why ask silly questions.

      I will add some links to the description. Most of the parts can be found on eBay.

    And the Zimmerit of the mid Tiger 1?

      No pictures of this particular Whitman tank exist. Don't know for sure if has zimmerit or not.

    I did the whole thing Remote thing on my OpenTX'ed *FrSky Horus X12S* ( ua-cam.com/video/dv_i-1dLndo/v-deo.html ) but instead of the Switch allowing for the Stick to then reach past 75% Travel to trigger the action I had the Switches simulate/trigger a 100% Stick throw themselves which, IMHO, I find way more convenient. Maybe something you'll want to look into yourself ( provided the Turnigy Remote even being capable of doing the same )?
    I can also only recommend probably any OpenTX capable Remotes like the FrSky Horus X12S and the Taranis X9D that was replaced by it especially with 3rd Party FO-Modules that have weird quirks like the SGS-Electronics TVC-MC-10-AAT I use for my Tamiya #36208 1/16 Flakpanzer Gepard which has three modes of operation but mode 3 shuffling the channels all over the place so I had the same switch operating the modes also change change the sticks "back" to how they work in mode 1&2 - Such a blessing being able to do that!

    I am a Tamiya guy since 1985. But let me say they're tanks are way overpriced and this is also coming from someone that has a good job. I will never own these due to their cost.
