Let me know if you like the format and the longer reaction videos. I can't guarantee I can do them all the time, but if you like this mutliple video format, then I'll try make them regular.

    I forgot to mention.
Tatiana is very into reggae and jazz. When she talks about her influences she names Gwen Stefani, Amy Whinehouse, Bob Marley, Ella Fitzgerald etc.
It's funny but as far as I can see Tatiana is not really into extreme metal music. She was when she was a youngster though.
Before Jinjer she was in the band with totaly different sound. They played some blend of reggae, latin jazz, fusion etc. So Tatiana has the experience as a reggae/jazz singer.
And other Jinjer musicians are such a musical nerds that it seems they could play anything. So why not reggae.

@@RustySabita it called just MORTON :) I'm not the fan personally, I know two songs because of Tatiana. But both are pretty cool and Max is a really good singer.
MORTON - Through the Never (I Will Return) feat. Tatiana Shmayluk
It's a relativily simple song, like powermetal with a bit of Tatiana's growls.
MORTON - Horror of Daniel Wagner (feat. Tatiana Shmayluk)
It's a way proggy song, mindbogling structure and disturbing but interesting video.

The one-take vocal wasn't in a studio, it was in an improvised vocal booth, made with a hung black cloth, a mic, some Marshall headphones, a camera (probably a phone) and a cat named Mr. Pepino, and it was recorded at Alex Lopez's house in LA during one of the early 2020 lockdowns that didn't allow Tatiana and Eugene to leave the US after the rest of the tour got concelled due to the pandemic.
Alex Lopez is the former Suicide Silence drummer (now touring wit P.O.D.), Tatiana's boyfriend at the time and now husband. During that period they also recorded a cover of Nirvana's "Territorial Pissings", with Tatiana on the vocals, Eugene on the bass and Alex on the guitar and drums, and a cover of Alice In Chains' "Man In The Box", this time with the whole Suicide Silence band. The video for the first cover is available on Jinjer's YT channel and the video for the second is available on a channel called Miran 'MAVERICK' Muhtadi.

I love seeing new fans react to each Jinjer song and I love the multiple videos format! There's so many to choose from and as some others have mentioned, some of the playthroughs are fun to watch, but totally understand the multiple videos format is more time consuming for you, so doesn't need to be *every* song!

Accent was more apparent during the music video in the opening, compare that to the One Take. This song's pretty unique with the number of performances to react on, combining the 3 is great. At bigger shows they often don't get billed high enough imo. Upcoming festival in California, I had to search to find their name.

Yeah and at that festival in California they're early, on a stage that's headlined by Motley freaking Crue. If I was the Crue I'd be embarrassed to follow Jinjer. They've got their hits but they're dinosaurs. Different crowd too.

Excellent reaction! Got my sub! The Jinjer Binjer! Love it. The triple feature was done inn the correct order. Never get tired of listening to this song, inn any version. That live in Melbourne is insanely good. They dominate live. And by the end of the one-take I'm always in full "goosies" (as J-Lo puts it).
I think you may have been referring to a set of videos from RE Music (?) that features female fronted bands. There's a whole series of them, and as I recall Jinjer is in the #1 "Best Female Fronted Metal Bands" video. He's been breaking it into sub-genres lately, like best melodic/death metal, best symphonic metal etc. Don't worry, he put Jinjer in the first one! Along with Spiritbox if memory serves. There are probably at least ten of those videos, and he's turned me on to quite a few bands I really like. I guess he can't have Jinjer in every video. Or can he...? 😜
Yeah bro, time to dive into the lore of Jinjer. The most compelling and important band in the world IMO. The more you learn, the more you love. The fact that they're from Ukraine makes them important. Ukraine is important. For us all. We need to make absolutely certain Ukraine wins, or we will all be very sorry. When you see the OMV for Home Back you can't miss the power of the message.
But mostly Jinjer is a band that composes amazing complex music, then goes out and absolutely slays it on the road. They deliver like few bands can. As you study Tatiana's lyrics you'll find a wealth of expression, and a lot of the lore surrounds that. A lot of it is about the relentless touring, winning over audiences around the world. They don't know how to do anything else, it's how they survive, and Ukrainians know how to survive. We can all learn a few things from Ukraine about how to survive, and to do it with grace, courage and ingenuity. Jinjer is emblematic of the toughness of Ukraine.
You must see them live, at all cost. Especially in a smaller venue, where you can get up close. It's an experience not to be missed.

    • @RustySabita
      @RustySabita  12 днів тому

Let's hope they that Ukraine continues to be resilient and find a path to freedom. 100%
But yeah, they make such interesting music, and alll very unique I think so far. It's still a big catalogue for me to check out, but with each passing video, I add another song of their to my playlist. It's very much my style.
Thank you for the praise on the triple reaction. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't do them like this all the time, due to time limitations of working a 40-hour a week job, but I'll do it from time to time, but I do like doing them and I'm glad other do too. :)
Appreciate your view, your comment, and your subscription, of course! 🙏🤘🙌

I think your reaction here is really great and reactions like this with two+ versions are always brilliant, the official music video and a video of live concerts from a tour or festival! Hence my "selection list" that I left you three weeks ago at the Wacken Perennial video!! The question is always how far do you want to go into a band's development yourself.... Personally, I still like to listen to and watch their earlier songs and videos like Scissors, Outlander because my memories of the time I saw the band live at small festivals and Tatjana with such incredible power and tremendous energy that was so pure, and still is today....but today she is better in terms of quality in terms of voice and technique and she has a wider range of other styles that she masters like no other singer far and wide in metal! Greetings 😉🤘🏼

Right now, I'm just going through what is most requested over the course of video Jinjer video, but we'll surely get to some older stuff as well. We can see how well she has developed her technique and quality since.

I guess that was an outdated list of best singers. Modern toplists of metal singers usually include Tatiana. Depending on the point of the list Tatiana could be on the very top or not.
Speaking of the real toplist made not just for fun but for the business.
There's computer game "Metal Hellsinger". It's a shooter about some journey through the hell (it seems).
Music is a vital part of this game 'cause player should shoot the enemies in sync with the rythm of the current song.
The creators invited a bunch of metal singers to this project. And that's the real toplist of the metal singers (well it's not full but whatever). Just a few to mention - Serj Tankian, Randy Blythe, Will Ramos, Alissa White-Gluz, Matt Heafy, Cristina Scabbia, Mikael Stanne etc.
And guess what. Tatiana is among them. So she's officially in the top league.
If you are interested you can check out the song Burial At Night (Metal Hellsinger, Tatiana Shmayluk ft. Two Feathers). Great song for this purpose.
Btw Tatiana has a bunch of interesting collabs with different bands and musicians aside Jinjer.
