- I feel like I made this video a few months ago. And it's cause I did. Why is there still no Pokemon on the NSO for GB and GBA? Nitntendo is missing out on money. Straight up.

It blows my mind how you Nintendo fanboys willingly throw your money at them. Good on Nintendo for being smart enough to drain you of your money. Lol paying for such a ludicrous subscription-based model is lunacy.
That’s why I don’t pay for a single consoles online service. The whole notion of paying to play games online is stupid to me. Adding the subscription service just so I can temporarily play old video games is even dumber.
Non-Rental Stadium would be a real dream come true
It is a crime that these aren't available, which is funny when people would probably be willing to pay a small amount to play them
They're available (I assume), you just have to do things to your switch that Nintendo doesn't like and run an emulator. It's your switch, not theirs.
People would be able to pay a large amount to play them too. It's why the original cartridges are so damn expensive on eBay and other sites
They could straight up sell rom collections for $20-30, separate them by generation and make them compatible with Pokemon home. They would sell like crazy

I think it would be cool if they sold Gen 1 as a collection that has Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. With Pokémon Green being the Japanese Pokémon Blue, while our Blue is the Japanese Green. Plus it would allow people to more easily get the cool stuff that was only in Japanese Blue. It would be cool if this collection had the option to have each game get a different color palette like Yellow for Yellow. I think the trainer tower for Stadium does that.
Uh Japanese red and us red are not the same so that's 5 games

I CANNOT express how BAD I want gba Pokémon on NSO. And Pokemon day is coming up so prayers for it to be announced that day! But I won’t hold my breath
IMO TPC could release these games in different ways:
1. Just releasing them on NSO and NSO+
2. Implement another subscription which includes all Pokemon Games from 1-3 (just as Sky does is with they movie subscriptions)
3. Sell the games on the Nintendo eShop for 9,99€/$ ea. as they've done on the 3DS.
4. Stick the Games to a Pokemon Home subscription.
I currently don't want to modify my old Switch. But if TPC won't release them with the Pokemon Day next month I'll definitely buy the MIG Flashcard (if these flashcards offers emulation at this time) or put homebrew on my old Switch.
I really don't get the reason why TPC don't release them. I mean they could also charge 20€ for a game and there are still some dudes (including me) who would buy each game (or at least Yellow/Crystal/Emerald/LG or FR).
I figure it was partially because you could still buy them on the 3DS/Wii U e-shop, but that's been shut down for ten months now...
I have one idea why we haven't seen any of the older Pokémon games yet.
If I remember correctly, the EU mandated that any game with ANY gambling elements (ala, the Game Corner) would instantly get a more adult rating.
So if the GB-GBA Pokémon games come to the NSO, Nintendo would have to increase the rating of the games in Europe.
So as Nintendo JP did it with some nso games. There is an extra 18+ app for such cases
You mean to tell me you don't have an N64, gameboy, gameboy game adapter, stadium 1+2, and upgraded GSC/RBY batteries? Nintendo just needs to do a limited run N64 Pokémon all in one re-release thats compatible with original hardware
Yeah, this is why I still have my N64 out. Would rather play the Stadium games on that with transfer compatibility. Thankfully, Project64 is near perfect in terms of emulation with the transfer pak, which should be good enough.
Strongly banking on this being because they want HOME compatibility and profiteer on people buying a separate download for an adapted virtual console release so you can do wireless trades. For now, who's ready for the gen 5 remake slop?

There's so many thinks GF could do that they just don't lol sometimes I feel like they actively work against their 16yr old + fan base (i.e. almost all pokemon fans, it's a kids game that kids don't play). They say they listen, they do adapt and make changes and then they'll come along f*** up everything.
Ill say it once and ill say it again, its like they dont want our money, they could even release them as compilations with 2 versions
I don't agree with that guy saying they're working out Transfer Pak compatibility. There's no way to connect NSO apps so there's no way that would happen. The Pokemon Company cant just mess with the apps, and Nintendo themselves wont care about this lol
Also I'm surprised you didn't mention the main selling point of the old games on the service - Home Compatibility. The reason I don't emulate is its pointless if I can't move my guys to the modern games. Just as how Bank compatability was a big reason to buy the games on 3DS (though Bank kinda sucked imo), Home compatability is how to sell this to the masses.
I modded my switch and put GB/A and DS Emu on it, if Nintendo won't do it, I'll do it myself B)

Nintendo should be embarrassed that people who would pay them money are playing any Pokemon game they want on their phones, or on small handles, or even the steam deck with actual switch titles. But hey, I guess they just want people to not remember the old games exist and play the new dogshit titles that can barely run on their console with a 2010s mobile processor.

It's so funny to me because Nintendo clearly loves money, more so than having compassion or any integrity. The simplest, most lazy way to make millions is right in front of their faces and yet they still refuse to give us the old pokemon games with the online service. Its almost as if, they hate the fans so much that they would rather people be upset than receiving free millions for minimal work (just the way they like it) 😂. If that's not the definition of a toxic company, then idk what is.
Could also do with the fact that gen 1 was a buggy nightmare that maxed out everything it possibly could while being held together with bubble gum and whishful thinking. Which is why the remakes were the answer rather rebuilding the original games on older hardware. Lots of code to rewrite if they wanna charge money for it again

If TPC is smart, they will do their own app for classic games. Objectively speaking, old Pokémon mainline games interest many more people than all games on NSO, it's just the truth. They could even charge 5 dollars a month or so, and many people would pay, heck, I would pay as soon as it got the GBA games.
Why would I need them on the switch when I can just emulate them on my phone?

Because Nintendo wants to cry like a baby about piracy and how it causes “lost sales” when there’s not even an official medium to buy most of the games that are being pirated. Their whining would be a bit more justified if the games were made available on Switch, but for some reason, Nintendo and Game Freak don’t wanna budge.
I agree, and have complained about this multiple times before. I want to tolay the OG first two generations on a big screen, and I'm happy to pay the appropriate price for it...
