Wouldn’t it be wonderful to take a well paced stroll on a sunny day through The Marais with an insightful guide? Well here it is! Great tips… example, who knew you could go so easily from Sully to Place des Vosges

You have the best France channel hands down! Your videos are beautiful quality, but especially the way you show where things are in context, like maps/metro, areal views. Clear explanation about "how to"/"where" etc...I am French, and I am finding myself scouring your channel for my upcoming trip in August! Cudos! You derserve an award! 🏆 or 2!

Thank you for another great video! When I first went to Paris (19 years ago) my mother and I stay at a hotel in Le Marais. One gloomy morning we decided to talk a walk off of the beaten path and we ended on the street with the Maisons Medievales. We could tell from a block away that they were very unique and very old!

You are simply amazing! Absolutely love your take on the neighborhoods of Paris.
I wonder if you would ever consider doing a “lesser known” Paris, covering parts of the 11th, 12th, 14th, 15th, 16th or maybe something on the Parks of Paris. I’d love it and certainly learn at lot! Thank you!

We lived in the 15th between Vaugirard and Commerce and think the world of the area, but it’s definitely not on a tourist map, which is probably best, but we loved sharing our secret with others, who were often stunned but how charming and livable places like the 15th, 14th, 12th, etc are! The “real” Paris they tell us. I don’t know, but have always wanted to see these secrets discovered a bit, no?
      Merci, merci!

So the word Hotel originally meant a rich families town mansion then. The Marais must have been quite posh about the 17th century. I walked around the Marais back in August but I think I saw more in this, your video than I did on the ground. Or I probably saw it but didn't know what I was looking at. I was actually trying to get to one particular place but I kept taking the wrong turn,it was hot,my leg started to hurt! But on the plus side I kept finding curvy lanes and picturesque corners I just stumbled on. It was good. I found my destination at last. That Marais is a big area, bigger than it looks on the map! By the way I had a paper map and Google maps on my phone but I still got lost!!! I love how the different Paris vloggers all have a different perspective. Same places but different people interpret them differently. Its interesting.

Bonjour, your videos are magnificent. I have traveled extensively in my life, but, I have never been to the city of lights and the city of love. I am looking forward to my visit. I love your videos because they’re all about local cafés and restaurants and all the historical sites. I am a history buff all my life and I’m looking forward to experiencing as much as I can. I am learning the language and will have no problem communicating when I come. I’m a single traveler and I want to do everything Parisian. I want to keep away from the tourists. I do all my traveling in the winter. I got that advice from my wonderful father. He sure was right. I would love to be in Paris for Christmas and New Year’s. That would be very special. prends soin de toi

Excellent video. Thank you for commenting and sending this video. My time in France will be valuable and I will definitely not visit the Picasso museum. I don’t like any of his paintings. It’s Cubism and mechanical. I have a wonderful book that I look at very often on my two favorite French impressionists. Monet and Renoir. When you look at their paintings, you see beauty and life. Any suggestions where I can find a local brasserie that serves great Escargot and Frog legs? Merci beaucoup.

@@paristoptips Indeed, visit Paris 3-4 times a year. A few weeks ago, Nissim de Camondo, and Jaquemart - Andre (visit them already a few times, but stays fantastic) and a culinair stop at the Le Camondo.
